Ebernard you may want to call her on the phone just so you get a straight answer.
Oh yeah...Ana did email me a form to fill out too when she emailed me the contract. So I filled it out, scanned it and sent that back to her along with contract and copy of my CC.

Kelly & Patrick
I think that they are the resort photographers. They will take pictures for any guests at the resort. On the facebook site for DRC, there are pictures that people had taken by them. That's weird...when I asked her about photographers back in sept/oct, she told me Juan Navarro and Sweet Caribbean (I think ) were the photographers. I wonder if they changed it??

also came across this Mexican Decorations * Papel Picado Banners

I am thinking we are going to do the marachas for the ceremony although I also considered the straw fans, hard to tell if its going to be hot or windy but figure by Nov the guests should be fine. I saw one of the ladies posted pictures of a stick with many string at the end for after the ceremony looked cute and now for the reception I am liking this idea of mexican fans and chinese lanterns? or would that be too much? Ana quoted me a crazy amount for chinese lanterns have any of you girls just bought the lanterns and brought it with, does Ana have the lights?
Sorry, I should have multi-quoted...I didn't realize I had so much to reply to oops.gif

Anyway, I love those banners...so pretty and festive! Where would you hang them?

Laura, I have seen pictures when they are hang over top the tables and look beautiful. We are having a buffet dinner so instead I considered putting it around the buffet dinner to decorate. I am upgrading all the dinner table linen to turquoise overlays but its expensive for the buffet, so I might just keep that table white and do turquoise flags.

Also I am already sold on star lanterns for up above

For a basic one tone ones they are as cheap as USD 5 Solid Color 5 Point Star

and for the prettier multi-tone USD 8-10

Star Lights, Hanging Lanterns  and Lamps from Divine Planet

Out of curiosity would any of the ladies here be interested in these ones I am done for a couple of bucks each?

I was just looking at those star lanterns today from that paper lantern site! I really love them. I had asked Ana how much they cost because I had seen them in a picture hung in front of the infinity pool and they looked really really nice. She told me $200. So, I was looking into buying them myself and I was trying to figure out though, how would they hang and would the battery lights last the whole reception?

Boo, those are really pretty! I haven't given too much thought to decorations yet, but I might be interested in using them once you are done, depending on what colors you get. I am thinking tentatively of going with a royal blue, turquoise, and yellow/orange color scheme. But that has changed before and could change again! Plus, I will be there not long after you so maybe Ana could just keep them there? Do you know if Dreams will hang them for you?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
