Woodsylou- My dress is white and my bridesmaids 3 girls (2 gay guys-- not wearing dresses) are cobolt blue and kiwi green. The 5 groomsmen (and my two bridesmen) are all wearing khaki express pants and white long sleeves. My FI is wearing a white suit.

We have almost 50 people that are going to be there for the wedding! Yikes!

I am not sure on the irons getting hot enough, but I would check around the internet and see if you can get one shipped to you.

As for the flowers I just spoke with Fly Boy Naturals- Eco Friendly today. A lot of brides have used them for the freeze dried roses. I wanted to get my flowers now because there was a really huge sale of 70% off (which has now been dropped to 50%, they usually are only 35% off). She said that they should last until my wedding in June...as long as I keep them in the recommended temperature and area. Which is best in a dark closest in my house. She said that they do not turn brown but can start to fade just a little bit...worse case scenario. Needless to say I bought 300 cups of flowers today and will store them until June. hope this helps.
I wonder how long it takes to get those flowers? I plan on buying them and using them for the runner and a little extra around the tableS?/ What about you? I will prob order them in march. Thank for the info

Ps what are you up to as far as planning.. I am just trying to figure things out!

Well I ordered the flowers on Monday night from flyboy and they put them in the mail yesterday (Wednesday) I should get them by tomorrow or Saturday. I say you should get them within a week that you order them. I too will use them for the aisle (25') and tables. They suggested for me to buy around 300 cups of flowers to cover both moderately.

As far as wedding planning...I have some of it done. I now am just getting stuff here and there until I get there. They assigned me a wedding coordinator assistant a couple of months ago until I get my actual wedding coordinator within 3 months of my wedding. They have been very helpful in updating my file when needed. I am sure that if you need help or have questions about anything they will help you. I suggest getting a binder with dividers on each category of your wedding, to do list, and timeline (I'm still working on the timeline)... because it can get overwhelming. I also created my budget on theknot.com which helps.

I'm just a little nervous about the music and ballroom.... decorating it correctly without really seeing it....I have to rely on the wedding coordinator A LOT and vendors because each item is separate from chairs to china) but I 'm going to try not to worry about it too much.

If you need any help with anything (information) just let me know.

Good luck with your planning! :-)

Ashley

Wer're staying at the MP for a week and then moving to the Sun Palace for our honeymoon. I think a change of scenery is nice after about a week or so.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
