Is 5pm too late for a sunset wedding? DPA is an hr ahead of Calgary and right now at DPA, its dark!! Help!!

Oh, and anyone know if there is a lobby bar where you can meet up for drinks and the name of it?

Thanks!!
Well is a half an hour enough time for pictures? The other thing I would check on is how on time are they going to be? I have heard that it runs on Mexican time down there. Everyone is so layed back and if your late they say dont worry dont worry.

Dont want to stress you hon but maybe ask Jacy.

Here's a question I would like to know. What happens if you are getting married in the gazebo or want to and have your reception dinner there as well. And what if there is another wedding that day? How do they decide who gets it. This is freaking me out a bit. Since I know there is another wedding on my day.

There is not a bar directly in the lobby area. The closest bar would be Desires (the night club). Otherwise you'd have to meet up at the bar by the adult pool or the one by the game pool.

Dee is your wedding ceremony before or after the other couple? If it's the latter time I would think they would allow you to have your reception at the gazebo. If your wedding is before the other couple (assuming they are using the gazebo for their ceremony) then I'm not sure that you'd be able to have the gazebo for your reception.

Poop, lol I have no idea if there's is before or after. I am assuming after since mine is at 3 and earlier might be really hot but thats a guess.

Are kids allowed by the game pool. I know the adult pool bar is strictly adults.

19 more sleeps till we leave. I still havent received fiances band, my local jeweler is super freaking slow.

Thanks Dee, I asked Jacy and said 5pm was much better then 5:30. I think I'll put in out welcome letter 4:45 so we have 15 to minutes to spare!! We are doing our pictures 1st before the ceremony but thanks for looking out for me!!smile03.gif

So exciting!! You're so close. I'm sure whereever you have your reception it will be perfect. Don't stress!!

Yes kids are allowed by the game pool. I guess I could have called it the main pool. I referred to it as the game pool because there's constantly some sort of pool game going on during the day. It's definitely the louder over there compared to the adult pool side.

My favorite bar was Barracudas. It's the one by the wedding gazebo and was by far my favorite one on the resort because it had chairs and swings! I had my cocktail hour there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
