Awe! I remember when I used to be at the bottom of the Date List, then I slowly grew to the top, and now . . . I'm gone sad.gif So sad! But so happy that I can help future brides in any way.

 

To add to the Phil and Michael Steingard photog's, they are always in the Dominican. I think Phil traveled 9 times last year? Sometimes he's even there for like 3 weeks, so if you do like their work, then I'd definitely check out their prices just in case. Sometimes they can be very comparable to the cost of a resort photographer, but these pictures are like magazine shots.

Try copy and pasting it, and see if that works. If not, google search tropicalpictures.com.do, the first result is the website.

 

Oryx, I am going with the gazebo because I think its much more intimate, and as someone mentioned earlier on the board, you will be taking pictures on the sand later on anyway….

Is anyone worried about booking your ceremony date but not knowing when you are actaully arriving? I'm from Thunder Bay and right now we have direct flights but for Feb 2011 I won't know until June. I can't wait that long to book or I'll miss a symbolic ceremony time. If we have to flight through Toronto it will cost my guests an extra $400 plus hotel if we have to stay over night.

If we book something sooner and then find out we can go direct can we change it?

Yes, I am thinking that myself, but still undecided. So many decisions to make! I've also contacted Michael and Phil Steingard to ask about possibly booking one of them for the photographer, so if anyone else is interested in the first week of February 2011, let's keep in touch! (I'll put something in my siggy if we do book with them for sure, and maybe we can share the costs.)

I am not sure I understand your question fully, but let me ask, what do you mean you will miss your symbolic ceremony time? If you get a flight that is NOT direct?

 

I dont think now is the only time you will be able to get direct flights...I feel there will be flights that are direct available closer to your date, no?

 

I know that airlines do have certain policies with switching flights, such as pay an extra 100 to switch to an early flight or nonstop...

 

What airline is it that you are looking to book? Maybe I can check out what there cancellation/change policies are...

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
