Thank you so much Nadia and Amy, it really does put your mind to rest to know we've made the right choice. I was so worried about getting my friends and family to spend so much money on my wedding. Thanks again, can't wait to get home from work and be able to see the photos :-)

Hey girls, I haven't really had much time in the last two months to think about the wedding but I just realized that it's practically February and therefore I only have 3 months to plan and get things ready! I haven't really been in touch with Tiara either, but I was reading on the Dreams Tulum forum that a month before your wedding date, the WC sends a form to you to confirm things. Has anyone heard of this? Or have the form?

I need to buckle down and get organized AND start making some serious decision-making! lol.

Thanks Nadia huge relief! even my fiance is more relaxed!

So what is everyone's plans on the legality of our situation?....anyone going through WEDO? or just making it legal at home?

Getting very excited, Tiara confirmed our ceremony at the gazebo and reception at ssg!

Hey girls, do you think it's bad that I haven't made any reservations regarding hair/make up appts at the spa or for the photographer and videographer? I haven't even decided where to have the dinner to book it Tiara. I was going to wait till I got there to do these things. I was just talking to a friend of mine whose sister got married in Jamaica and she said this isn't the best approach b/c they could be booked up and I'd be out of luck. But if this is all included in my wedding package, shouldn't I be fine?

Well, I think there might be other weddings on your same date, so there is a possibility of the salon/reception/photographer booking up.

If you're flexible on time and location, etc. then I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I think Tiara gives the impression that it's ok to wait until you get there to do all of that, so maybe it's not a big issue as I'm thinking?

brbr.bo - we're getting married at home prior to the wedding :)

I'm soooo torn between getting married at a registry office at home and not telling anyone then just having a ceremonial service. Which would save approx £1000 on paperwork.... or.... having the real wedding there. Ok it costs more but its my only wedding (hopefully) and I want it to actually be my wedding on the beach not just acting it out.

Am I wasting money by being over sentimental?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
