Kristin *Kris* way longer than I thought it would be Planning Thread!

Holy Crap I cannot believe it's already my turn to do this. We leave on friday morning at 5:15 am in an excursion limo with 43 friends and family to Jamaica!!!!!

Thank you to everyone on this forum. With the amount of info (or lack of info) you get from the resorts and the slow emails, I think I would have gone crazy planning a DW without you guys!! I would also like to thank whoever I "borrowed" templates from (I definitely can't remember right now haha) but it was greatly appreciated. I can't wait to be laying on a beach drinking rum !!!

The Resort:

Riu Ocho Rios Hotel, Jamaicas Newest All Inclusive Resort

We are staying at the Riu Ocho Rios in Jamaica for 2 weeks. We are going to have our ceremony on the beach at 2pm and our reception at the poolside.

The Rings:

We bought all of the rings at Spence Diamonds in Calgary

I bought a Pronovias Ladera dress in Ivory (probably a little to fancy for the beach) haha I'm realizing this 3 days before I leave..Nice! Oh well I LOVE it so I'm going to rock it!

I know I know they lost via interception but I still have to support them I got this from Etsy Seller 'Garters by Kristi'

Grooms Suit:

We got these at RW&CO

Chris will be the only one wearing a jacket, the guys will just have on white shirts and the tie. Until they strip naked due to melting!

Bridesmaid Dresses:

We got these from BCBG.

Bridal Hair:

So I have SUPER curly (not nice curly, frizzy curly hair) I can straighten it and it looks good here, but in humidity ..not a freaking chance! Sooo to cut down on wedding day stress I decided I will "tame" my hair by pinning it all back and hairspray the crap out of it and let extensions do the work! I'll let you girls know how that turns out

Bridesmaids Gifts:

I was so excited to give these to my girls. We went out for a nice dinner and I gave them to them on saturday. They LOVED them!!

Groomsmen Gifts:

The guys will be wearing these on our wedding day!

The Cake:

We'll see how well this gets re-created. I ordered it from Sheila's bakery. The bottom layer will be vanilla with strawberry filling and the top will be chocolate. It will only be 2 layers and no flowers on top.

Ive ordered my flowers from Tai Flora. I can't copy the picture due to copyright issues but my 3 bridesmaids are getting long stemmed white calla lilies and I am having the same but with a few orchids mixed in. I'm also getting white paper lanterns to hang at the poolside reception from them, an isle runner and rose petals. The total for all of this was $960.00

Reception DIY stuff:

Starfish name tags: These will be at each persons place setting at the table (I purchased these off Etsy)

Favor Jars: (I bought the jars at micheals, and tied the ribbon on myself) There are filled with fruity mento's

Whiteboard Guestbook: (Whoever originally had this idea...YOU ROCK!!! Im so pumped for this part)

Hangover Kits: (There isn't a condom in all of them, just a "joke" for our single guests)

First off, let me say that your dress is FAB! (I'm a Pronovias bride too great taste!) and not too fancy- it is one of the only times that we will be able to wear something like this!
