im LOVING the true blood books (sookie stackhouse books). they are SO fun! we dont have cable so i havent watched the show yet. but the books are really quick but enjoyable reads. if anyone is into janet evanovich's stephanie plum series, and you like supernatural stuff too, you will love them. the main character is a hoot and i cant wait to read each next book so see what kind of trouble she will get herself into.
haha, thanks for taking a peek! :)

I read the first of the Sookie Stackhouse books last Christmas (2008 ), and while I enjoyed it, I wasn't compelled to pick up any more in the series right away. I'll probably read them eventually (they are vampire books after all), but I've got so many in my "to read" pile, adding eight more might just tip me over the edge

Funny you should mention Janet Evanovich, I've been meaning to pick up her as well...but again, never got around to it. I'll have to get the first of her Stephanie Plum books sometime in the near future. For now, it's all I can do to keep from running out and buying the next of the House of Night books. I have Diana Gabaldon's newest to read, Under the Dome by Stephen King, The Princes of Ireland by Rutherford, and a handful of other books that my MIL leant me. And I've decided I need to re-read The Lovely Bones....

It's just a good thing I love having a pile of books to read, or else I might feel overwhelmed!

Janet Ivanovich is my FAVORITE! The Stephanie Plum series is so Funny and if you haven;t started the series yet, Your so lucky because you can read them all in a row now. We are up to book 15, plus like 3 or 4 little in between books. They are quick reads but so worth it :)

I want to watch True Blood so bad. We got rid of HBO while we were saving for the wedding :-( I didn't realize they were books though! I will have to check it out.

You should just Netflix True Blood. It's a great show. However, the books are very different so just to give a warning. Sometimes it throws people off...

Thank you all for the new book recommendations. I just picked up a new book this last week in Target but I didn't have my book list and couldn't remember anything. DH was pressuring me to hurry but I ended up with one of the Blue Bloods series. I liked the cover art and I had no time to read the back. So far so good! I'm intrigued on where the story will go.

I can't believe I'm reading another vampire book though. I used to be such a book snob, but I've really come to love them. However, Memoirs of a Geisha has been on my list for way too long so I REALLLLY need to read it. I haven't even watched the movie because I wanted to read the book first. This is getting ridiculous!

Memoirs of a Geisha was a great book.

Has anyone read Gone with the Wind? I borrowed the book from my grandmother 10 years ago. And finally got around to reading it just a little while ago. That was a GREAT book. I would deffinalty recommend it. BUT it was a hard read, it took me what seemed like forever to read the book.

I read Gone with the Wind and it's my favorite book!

You should give "Scarlett" by Alexandra Ripley a chance. it's a sequel from a different Author.

I have also tried reading Rhett Butler's people by Donald McCaig but I couldn't get into it. I will try again though!

I am big into Audio Books now, I have a long commute to and from work so I listen to them in the car, I have a lot of new ones to get into but I keep flipping between the Harry Potter Books and the Twilight Series, I never get sick of listening to them!

Hmm I have never heard of those books, I will have to check it out.

When I was training for the Avon walk for breast cancer I used to listen to books. Becuase what else are you going to do on a 6 hour training walk. It deffiantly helped me do the walks

Im a little embarrassed to say that I am currently reading the twilight series for the second time. Im on book two. If its possible I love it even more the second time.

Been a while since I posted. I've been reading a ton lately. Actually read 5 books over thanksgiving. Gave the Maximum ride series a go by James Patterson. Definately geared towards a younger audience.

I seem to read a certain author or subject..exhaust all my options and move on. But lately seem to come back to polygamy. I read Escape by Carolyn Jessop a while back and that books is amazing. Just finished The Lost Boy by Brent Jeff's (Warren Jeff's nephew) and have 2 more in my e-reader but on a different sect of the FLDS. Really eye opening books. Not light reading by any means. Also read Leaving the Saints by Martha Beck. Wow.

Maybe I should go back to light reading haha.

Hey ladies! I LOVE to read. My FI gets frustrated sometimes because I could spend the entire weekend reading instead of hanging out with him. I always say, we're together, I'm just reading :)

I'm a huge YA fan, but love fantasy and sci-fi books, spy novels anything well written. I've read my way through most of the YA series out there from Harry Potter to Twilight to Vampire Diaries and many more. As well as the adult versions of these books, or the ones that came first. Ann Rice and such. But my all-time favorites vary from the 4th HP (actually all of them) to Catcher in the Rye to Time Travelers Wife to The Devil Wears Prada...

I just love to read!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
