Ok girls here is the scoop on the dress...

I have decided against the dress that Heidi Elnora and I designed. I found one I LOVE! The designer is Junko Yoshioka. Check out her website to read her bio and see her dresses. Home - InStyle also has her featured and has a lot of her Spring and Fall 2010 dresses on their website. The dress is 100% silk mikado with a mermaid/fit to flair silhouette. It is fitted (and I will make it more fitted!) down to my mid-thighs and then has a big skirt with ruffles (not sure what they are made of and kind of asymmetrical). The neckline is sort of sweetheart, and the dress has a natural waist. BUT the best part of it is this fabulous sash by Amy Kuschel that I am tying around my waist. It's beautiful, and it gives my boy-shape figure some curves. wink.gif The dress and sash are pretty trendy, and I am sure I will regret this 10 years for now. But, oh well!! I love it!!! I can email yall some pictures I took at the salon...of course the dress is way too big and pinned up, but maybe you can get the idea!

Lindz, when I save the dates, I had only AS on there and our Destination wedding info for our travel agent and as of today, I have 9 ppl not staying at the resort. I have been stessing so bad about it. IF and only IF you have a private reception the day pass get waived for your guest attending. The problem is, the rest of your vacation, you wont see or get to hang with your guest unless they come and pay for themselves a $80-$90_$100 day pass, meaning i have no idea how much it will be in 200 days lol. with the resorts unconsistant prices, i think its safe to stay in that range lol.

So, for example, Im goin to have a WELCOME PARTY on thursday at the resort, and what about my 9 guest not booked there?? And the party is at night/ dinner time. IF they want, i guess they can come hang all day there and get ready in bathrooms or our room if they want and stay since it is an all day pass? I dont know what to do, it sucks but it is what it is. I have so much to do, that this doesnt help... but i guess at the end of the day, id rather have my family there than NOT there so if staying somewhere else was better for them, they hey, I guess i cant complain sad.gif

That is so sweet of you to check out Le Blanc while you are there. :) And no, you do not have to do my 007 work while you are on your honeymoon! ha You are too sweet. I am just gonna ask that you check out the rooftop terrace at some point and see how windy it is. I think yall are going to have a FABULOUS time!!!

Ok, here is what I have gotten done:
1) STD's: done
2) website: pretty much done...will finalize this week. I changed the site to www.lutznlindz.com, so it would be easier to recognize.
3) DRESS!!! I DECIDED on it!!!! YAY!!!!!! sooooo excited! 2 of my bridesmaids went with me and agree that it was THE ONE!
4) Bridesmaids dresses: Decided on hot pink (fuchsia) or grayish/silver, one shoulder, and short and flowy. We have amped up our search!
5) Checked out flights and sent out price update...they have gone down almost $200.

Oh!! I wanna hear more about this first dance song and dance! SO sweet of him!!
Hahaha, you're totally right, we need swift booty kicks now and then! I will check out whatever you want while I'm there! It's not really my honeymoon. We are taking a trip around Europe next year for our honeymoon :)

Ok you are seriously taking care of business, I need to see your dress ASAP, how exciting!!!!

FI suggested we have dance lessons, he's not a big dancer and wanted to be able to dance to our first song well and make it look good. Our song is also way untraditional and not even many people like it but it's appropriate and fits our story and I love the song so I don't care :)

However, lately I have been wondering how to deal with the issue of people requesting to stay at a different resort. This sounds like a huge catastrophe in the making. On my website and Save the Dates, I have made it very clear that the rooms are blocked off AT LE BLANC, and it is assumed everyone coming will stay there. However, I am starting to worry about people trying to save money and book elsewhere. Suggestions?!?
No, I don't believe they require this. Unfortunately if people want to stay elsewhere they will. That's not a big deal as long as they know they'll have to pay to come onto the property and I'm sure you'll have group events throughout the week for people. Just make them aware that are trying to create a group atmosphere and it's an additional charge for them if they don't stay at your hotel and if they are able to it would be most helpful to you. I doubt you'll have trouble with this.

My MOH & a bridesmaid plus about 6 other guests planned to stay at a timeshare 7 miles away (which is close) but still really upset me. After so much pointless planning everyone is staying at the resort which makes me happy, it's just the easiest. Good luck I'm sure everything will be just fine!

Hey girls I have been totally MIA for the last week, I am too in freak out mode.

Kitten - OMG! I finally got to see your pic and they are amazing. Your phototog is a great job and your ass is rockin'! Those pics even make me hot!!

Awesome job on getting so much done on your list! You are going to be smooth sailing by the time your wedding gets here.

Amy M - I understand freak out mode!! I really can't wait until you and I are sipping a drink at the poolside bar on Wednesday, Feb. 10th. Just the idea is keeping me going.

Amy F has a good idea to take a pic with one of the GM's to check out the colors. Also something to think about, are you really going to standing right next to the groomsmen and they are going to have a vest so I bet you won't even notice in pics.

Also, I think if your guest that aren't staying at the hotel want to come to the other events you are planning they will find a way to come. You already have so much to worry about for your wedding day, let them worry about this part. You know they are going to be there for the wedding and reception and that is really the most important day.

Lolo - You must get those shoes!!

LIndz - So awesome you found your dress!! Its such a great feeling when you do. I can't wait to see pictures. Also, thank you for the kick in the booty, its always needed.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
