I am! My party dress is sooo much less formal though. Our wedding will be on the beach in the a.m. and our "reception" won't be until dinner at our villa that night. I bought a knee length CK white dress... it screams "island chic". And the best part? It was originally $130, and I got it on sale for $30.

I will be making use of my wedding dress again at my AHR a few weeks after my ceremony though.

I am currently shopping for one. In Mexico, I figure I'll get back in my swimsuit after getting married!! LOL

For my at home reception, I'm wearing my dress again, but once all the formal stuff is over, I want to have a cute short white dress to change into. Love having plenty of time to shop though. :o)

I brought a second dress that was short that I planned to change into if mine became too uncomfortable dancing, but I never used it. Honestly, once I had my dress on I loved it so much that I wanted to wear it for as long as I could knowing I would never wear it again.

I will need a party dress for the reception. I have a formal dress for the ceremony and dinner, but our wedding will be in Cuba and we will be salsa dancing the night away. There is no slow dancing at Cuban weddings wink.gif

I was thinking of ordering a bridesmaid dress in ivory that I can add a little beading to dress it up, for the remainder of the night, I am hoping that will be the most cost effective option to having a second dress. I would love to hear any other suggestions though.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
