Well I'm not very original with the items that I'm putting into my OOT bags but because we're not have any sort of reception at home afterwards, I wanted to have something to give everyone that does end up coming with us. I'll probably send out something as a thank you afterwards that has a really good wedding picture on it but I haven't actually figured that part out yet.

I don't even know why I decided to do OOT bags.. I figured a lot of people who were coming would be their first time.. and I know my first time I didn't bring things that I really needed.. like travel mugs, first aid kit.. and then I got this site.. and it gave me so many ideas for OOT bags I just had to do it. But it will be $$

It is very interesting to see what people are and aren't doing for their DW.. it's fun like you said because you can do whatever that please you and no one would know the difference because DW are flexible.. I should keep reminder myself this when things don't go the way I want (which I have been.. I think I've been doing good.. like We aren't have an equal bridal party, use to bother me, now I am over it lol)

Now that I am doing the OOT bags, I'm almost sorry. They are costing so much and when the actual bags came in FI looked at them and asked, "What are people going to do with that?" I really hope people appreciate them. When I explained they were in lieu of favors it made more sense. the only thing I did order were fans to put on the chairs for the ceremony...that will be the only favor type thing.

This morning is shopping day for OOT stuff. I finally have a little ME time!! I will take pictures of what I get later and post them for you!

I am getting excited with all this OOT talk and want to start my shopping but I am insisting I wait until my RSVP date. I want to put together a list of things to buy so I can do it right when my numbers solidify. Here's my list:

Raffia Fans (from oriental trading co)

Keycard holders & wrist coils (online? anyone have suggestions?)

Bubba Keg mugs

Pashminas and Something for guys (any ideashuh.gif)

Welcome to Mexico brochure (i'll have to make it on vistaprint. need to find a good template!)

First aid kit: tylenol, aloe, hand sanitizer, band aids, tums

I want to take a trip to Target or Dollar Store and hope to find a few additions to add in. I haven't thought much about the actual bag I'll be putting things in...

Hmmm.. maybe cigars for the guys? Or little inflatable beach balls? Guys can be so much harder to shop for sometimes- for me anyways. Good luck with your shopping.

Ok, so the only thing I have actually bought in person are puzzle books $1 each at Target. I went to Christmas Tree Shoppes today but Dollar Tree is better. I ordered Excedrin from them online - they didn't have enough in the store - a case of 36 at $1/each. They have hand sanitizer 2/$1 - I'll go back and get those at the store. From Oriental Trading I ordered personalized pens, flip flop candles Large plastic glow in the dark cups (44oz) and fans. I want to get more stuff to do a first aid/hangover kit, but I think that will be it. I made postcards on Vistaprint thanking people for coming and gift tags to go on the bags too. I keep ordering t shirts and hats for free from them...I'm a little obsessive. I'm going to need a whole suitcase of just OOT items!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
