Yeah, ignore the puff balls that are hanging, so it will be paper lanterns down the center of the table. I'm thinking ill bring down some small sandwich bags and fill them with sand and put them on bottom to weight the lanterns down so they don't fly away with the wind and use those battery tea lights so they dont catch on fire.

I'll be doing a mock-up once i get some more shapes and sizes and I'll be sure to post.

Hey Ladies,

Havent been here for a long time...lots of planning going on!!

We are renting the SSG and paying the extra fee so that it is just the wedding guests. Music and dancing are good to go for this option.

I had just told Tiara that I would book the DJ there for 250 but reading some earlier posts I am not sure if I should! Tiara did say that I could email the DJ a list of songs beforehand...Im hoping it will turn out ok with the music!

I love the paper lantern idea ladies. I actually bought some lanterns from China town thinking I'd put them on the beach leading up to my "altar" , but will it even be worth it if it's daylight?

But since I have them, I may just put them in random spots around the SSG for when we're eating / dancing.

Hi ladies,

I was reading through all the FAQ's and one question said that the resort was in the process of setting up web cams for family and friends that couldn't attend. I'm just curious if anyone has heard whether or not La Romana has set this up.

thanx

For anyone that is interested - Tiara told me yesterday that the Silver chargers will be $6/charger.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
