Dreams Resorts & Spas - Tulum

The website states that you get the caribbean trio for 1 hour for the 3rd package which is $2400 (it used to be only 45 minutes)

If someone is looking for photos, there is a forum on the Dreams website. If you check under the Q&A section, theres a section on just weddings. Someone on there posted this slideshow of the Tulum wedding set-ups. It's the same pics that the wedding co-ordinators send me in Word format. The slideshow is pretty basic but it gives you the info you need......

We paid $500 for 45 minutes! And I thought that was insane! Funny thing is...these are the same Mariachi Band that played for FREE at our Welcome Dinner at a restaurant! They play there every night!!!

I was turned off when I noticed it was the same people...felt very cheatedsmile35.gif On the flip side, it made for very good pictures!!!

Do not feel cheated!! it works like this!! When the resort has musicians playing every night in their restaurants the price that they charge for playing in an event is not so high... so you do not have to pay what normally the musicians charges outside the resort!!

I more thing!! oops.gif

Do not get confused!!! smile43.gif

Mariachi (at least 7 people in a band) is not the same that a TRIO (3 musicians) and 1 hour means a set of 45 minutes singing and 15 resting!!!! watch out!!!!! smile35.gif

Maybe you will never find out becuase you are not counting he time but your WC can ask them to sing longer for the whole hour and maybe they will....

Regards,

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
