I wanted heels, (I can wear heels to dump the garbage) but I didn't want to sink in the sand so I thought the espadrilles would be a great option. I plan on changing into jeweled flats for the reception. What do you think of the the wedding shoes?

One of my friends who is really short (4' 10'') and really wanted some extra height did this for her wedding. They buried a piece of board in the sand right where they would be standing during the ceremony. Then they put a thin layer of sand on top so that you could not see the board. That way she was able to wear 4 inch heels also for the ceremony without sinking into the sand.

Your dress is lovely and the red heels are hot as well :) Since you are obviously comfortable with wearing high heels (just like myself), why not ? The only problem I could see with using the flats first and then the heels is how you will adjust the length of your dress to match the different heights.
What a great idea, thanks so much for sharing! I would be worried that I would trip on the way from trying to walk on my tippy toes. I am considering having a long board put down though. I ordered a 50ft. personalized aisle runner from I Do Originals , I may have my resort rent a 50 ft plank for me to walk on.. or I may just use the flats for the ceremony, then change later into the red ones. I would get the dress altered to the heels because I will be in those much longer.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
