I'm still not 100% sure about that, to be honest. I'm thinking jewelery- maybe pearl earrings and a pendant to match? I only have one person standing up with me and I'd like to get her something really nice... so I'm still looking around.

For the bridal party girls: I am giving them a necklace and earring set (10$ each from avon to match their dress) I towel with their name on it. I was going to buy a tote bag for each saying 'bridesmaid' and 'maid of honor' on it.. but then I figured after I got the ones from Vista Print it really isn't necessary to do that. So I will probably also give them a (I forget what they are called...) a scarf but to wrap around you to keep you warm from the cool breeze at night.. geez!! what are they called.. hope you know what I am talking about lol.

and I'll probably get each of them a pair of flip flops (also to match their dress in case we decided to not wear the shoes they actually bought for the dress)

The men.. The Best Man.. 1 guy lol (I have 3 but I don't care anymore I use to..)

I have no clue.. even though I'll have to think about it cause I know the FI wont lol. Any idea's for the guys?

Welcome back Suzy. I'm sure you'll get back into wedding mode real soon. By the way, the company I used for my natural touch flowers is not an ETSY seller (WedIdeas.com). If you do use them, just make sure you add 4 to 6 weeks to whatever ship date they initially estimate.

I hit the Christmas sales... I got my two bridesmaids Swarovski crystal jewelry sets from Kohls (like $40 each on sale) and I got the Groomsmen watches from JCPenney (around $25 each on sale). I'll probably add some other things like beach towels, pedicure sets, mugs, etc for the bridal party (basically a special OOT bag for the bridal party).

Hey all!!! I havent been on for quite some time but I wanted to let you all know what is going on with me and my planning. First I want to let you know that I was planning ahead of time and put a deposit down on a catamaran for the day after the wedding. I put my deposit down in June and find out that the guy that owns it died in October. I cannot get my money back because of this timeframe. I have just accepted it and have moved on. I'm now looking for a different company to take us out for the day. Luckily it was only a deposit and wasnt too much money lost.

We have made most of our choices for the wedding including flowers, attire, food, reception set up and music. The only thing we are waiting on from the planner is to find out if we can have 2 choices for dinner since we only have 15 people coming.

Things I still need to buy consist of: wedding shoes, jewelry and gifts for our attendants. Still need to get a few things for the OOT bags too.

Happy planning all!

I've been really bad with buying things for my bridesmaids - but in a good way for them! I keep finding things that I love so I'm having to limit myself more than anything. At one of the Christmas markets I picked up some awesome blown glass balls that have the kerosene type fluid you can fill them with. I'm going to be giving those out before we leave on our trip because they weigh a ton! And otherwise I picked up some AWESOME sarong type cover-ups that instead of just being a simple wrap, you actually twist them around you into a dress style. I will try to find the business card for the company, since they're more local, because they are super cute!

Tracy - two things. First, the word you're looking for is PASHMINA! Hehe, you're probably hitting your forehead now that you read it too wink.gif Second, I've got some cute canvas bags that I got from Michaels that say Bridesmaid on them ( I have three, plus one more that says Bride) and they are chocolate brown and pink and have polkadots. I decided instead of those to go with a different bag for each of my girls that suits their personality and I was going to post these other ones for sale at some point. Do you want me to send you some pictures?? I got them on sale too so I'd be more than happy to pass the savings on to you! Just let me know!!!!

Hey all! I hope everyone had a wonderful christmas and will have a very happy new year.

My BMs arent getting anything from me lol. Well, I pretty much paid for their room deposit plus some in order for them to come to our wedding. I can't imagine buying any jewelery or anything else on top of the amount I already gave them. They'll just get nicer OOT bags if anything.

I am only having a MOH, no other bridesmaids. I plan on paying for her dress, but I still want to be able to give her something meaningful when we're down in St. Thomas, but not jewelery. Hmm...any ideas?

I think the best man is even harder to buy for! I don't want to do any of the typical groomsmen gifts (flasks, etc). I think we might pay for his deep sea fishing trip while he's down there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
