Hi April brides… Hope everyone is doing well and Welcome to all of the new April brides. I haven’t posted in a while since I’ve been pretty busy over the past couple of months with holiday travel, my sister’s college graduation, work, and Oh Yeah, planning a wedding! I’ve browsed through this forum off and on, but haven’t taken the time to post anything in a while.

Well, I finally received my natural touch flower order today (see my thread http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...-w-pics-53366/).

I’ve ordered the cards and pocket supplies for my invites (which should be delivered by Jan 4th). I’ll be printing the invites and enclosures myself. I’ve drafted up the invite and I will post them on this site once I get them done. Let's see, what else... My cousin threw me a bridal shower in my hometown over the Thanksgiving holiday, which was unexpected. But it was nice because a lot of the ladies that attended were invited to the wedding, but will not be able to make it to the wedding. So, at least they got to participate in the wedding festivities in some way.

I finally got my FI to go apply for his passport last week, still have to work on my dad and sister. I’ve also gotten more responses regarding who plans to attend the wedding.

I can’t believe the wedding is less than 4 months away… Time flies!!!

HELLO ALL!!!

I have been away soooo long there is no catching up! There just isn't enough time in the day!

I hope everyone had a Wonderful and Safe Holiday season :o)

I have no idea what is going on with anyone, but...

Natasha: I did see your flowers and they are Absolutely Gorgeous!! When I get back into Wedding Mode I'm going to check out that Esty seller! I LOVE them!

Hope all is well with everyone...My life lately has pretty much gone as predicted...haven't tried on my dress since before my vacation and Christmas, so I think I'll wait a couple weeks for that, lol

I'm procrastinating on making any more wedding decisions,

-no BM's dresses yet

-no shoes

-no jewellery

-haven't decided on a veil, but I'm thinking no

-ordering FI's band next week or so, still waiting on the sizer....

-My band is on order

-huh.gifdon't even know what else I have to do!

Anything wedding related has pretty much been totally stagnant...if it wasn't for Meghan I would have done absolutely nothing in the past 2-3 months, so a big THANK YOU to her!! lol

:o)

Hello April brides- I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! Ours was great, very relaxing.

Welcome back, Suzy, glad to hear that your holiday went well. Must have been nice to get back home- I'm super jealous!

Now that the holidays are done I guess it's time to get back into planning, so here's my to-do list for your entertainment:

  • update website with a reminder about the cut off date for our group rate and the date the final payment for the trip is due
  • finalize music for reception
  • call the tailor in Halifax to schedule a dress fitting for April
  • order mugs once a more final head count comes in (end of the month)
  • order favours, same as above
  • get gifts for the Best Man and Maid of Honour
  • put together a ceremony outline/ wedding vows
  • get FI's suit (off the rack, in Halifax before we leave for Cuba)
  • buy some more swimsuits and resort type clothes for each of us
I think that that's just about it.

smile43.gif Wow, ladies, it is getting close now, isn't it?

What kind of gifts are you girls getting your bridal party? I only have 2 girls so I wanted to get them something nice.

Here are some of the things that I still need to do:

- Call people who rsvp'd yes but haven't booked (this is probably what has stressed me out the most)

- Make a list of Must Play and Must Not Play songs for the dj

- Buy my wedding shoes and garter

- I need to book the catamaran execursion we are taking our guests on the day before the wedding

- Buy bridal party gifts

- Finish ceremony/vows

- FI needs to look for and buy his suit!

- I need to find a TTD dress

- Print out menus and place cards

I know there is more, but that's all i can remember at the moment.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
