ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies haven't kept up with this thread since I changed resorts. Is Zulma still around? I gave my $300 deposit last year but then decided to change resorts. She told me I can still use it for whatever I wanted (spa for example). Anyway would like to get that confirmed before I head over.

If there is another person I should contact that is more responsive please let me know. Thank you in advance.

Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for your help. It really is a small world, I can't believe you are located in Allegan!

Hi Ladies,

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Question for anyone who has already had their wedding or a site visit. Does anyone know what the largest bar area is at the Gran Porto?

I forgot to look and see when we were there. We wanted to have a welcome cocktail night but instead of paying we just wanted to ask everyone to meet us at one of the bars at the Gran Porto.

Is there enough room for 100 people at any of the bars and area around it?

Hey all,

I know that the topic title is RPDC Brides.... But I hope you all won't mind a groom on here! My fiance (is that what FI stands for?), and I are planning a Royal Playa del Carmen wedding for December 3, 2010. Ours will be a small, (smaller than all I have read about on here) with about 7 of our closest to attend! This website has been a fantastic resource so far, and we are looking forward to planning!

Bye for now!!

Mike and Lisa

I have confirmed my date and paid the deposit, what is the next step in the process. I haven't heard anything from my US WC. I still have time, but just want to see how long it took before hearing from someone to start the planning process.
Thanks!
Jen
Your travel agent hopefully will get in touch with the WC in the states for you. Then they will send you all of the attachements etc. for all the things you get to pick. Menu, flowers, cake etc and all of the pricing. I got them to send me pictures of the venues. You also need to sign the wedding contract at some point as well. I was in touch right away, though I booked 8 months before my wedding.

Hope this helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
