HI 2010 Brides! I think WW is a great program! I lost 30lbs using it. I kept off 25 of it (work has been STRESSFUL) but I am looking to lose 15 lbs more for my wedding. I actually have a DW in April to go to so I really want to lose it by then.

So I am curious to know how many people are on WW, just fell off WW, or want to start WW.

Since it is the holidays, what is the hardest thing for you? Mine is finding time to work and avoiding all the chocolate that seems to be around me.

welcome4.gif Hat! I love WW too and have had great success with it. I tried every quick fix diet before WW and they never kept the pounds off for very long but WW has! I've been able to keep most of it off but have gained a little back over the last couple of years and started this thread to get back to basics and get some additional motivation before the big day! I did good for a while and then got busy wedding planning and just plain got lazy about sticking to my points and drinking all of my water over the last couple of months, HOWEVER I am extremely happy to so that for the last 3 or 4 weeks my fiance and I have been on a mission! We only have a little over 4 months to go until our wedding so we had to! LOL! We've been watching everything we eat (I don't actually pay for WW right now but I still eat like I'm on plan), no more wine, beer etc, adding lots of fiber and protein.. until the wedding and have been getting up at 5am to hit the gym at least 4 to 5 mornings a week before work! We have 4 kids so it's hard for us to do anything in the evening time after work when the kids are home. Neither of us were 'morning people' but after about 2 weeks we don't have any problem getting up that early now. We have to make every day count since we're running low on time and we want to be in the best shape of our lives :)

Thanks Veronica! Oh I would love to work out in the morning but I can't get myself to do it! That's great you have your FI to work out with it. I think it makes it easier. Well I don't pay for meetings either, but I am a lifetime member and a WW leader. And even being a leader I am still having a hard time staying on track!

I'm not a 2010 bride but I am a weight watchers member!! I was on the plan in high school and lost 30 pounds to get into a slim sleek prom dress when I was a junior. After 6 years, I gained it all back plus some (college years). Now in preparation for my wedding I've joined again and am sticking to it. I've been going since the first week in November and so far have lost about 12 and 1/2 pounds. My mom has also been going with me even though shes already a skinny minnie. Haha

Dilemma though! The next two weeks, WW is closing in our region to re-vamp their program for the new year!!! Which means no weigh ins until 1/1/10!! I'm super scared of the holidays and gaining a bunch of weight back! I know that the simple answer is just sticking to it as I would before but, there's something so motivating about knowing that that weigh in day is coming that it keeps you on track!!

Hi Ladies! I'm following WW as well... just started actually. I did it back in high school and was successful and now I'm doing it again but this time on my own...Scary!

I decided because it's the holidays to follow the system on my own (I still have the books and points calculator) and if I'm able to do it a couple weeks on my own then I may sign up for the online program.

What I find now is that I can search recipes online with WW in the title and you get a ton of info! For Free!.

Wish me luck! And congrats on everyone's work so far!

Hi Everyone! I just just joined WW online last week! I've done it before but was never really committed, but with a DW in the future I have something to work towards! Looking forward to lots of motivational tips and encouragement! My dilemma right now is trying to find the time to get to the gym 3 days a week (not exactly my idea of a good time!). Hopefully I won't fail too miserably over the holidays!

Hi melfredo!! Great job on losing 12.5lbs so far! That is fantastic, especially with all this food around! I know it is so scary not weighing in and not going to a meeting. Maybe you and your mom can get together and have your own meeting. You can weigh each other in and talk about how you guys can stay on track during the holidays. If you donâ€t have a scale available you can always take your measurements.

Hi Vallarta and deddmach! Good luck with your weight loss! I think that the holidays is a great time to start working on your diet, I think we need all the motivation we can get during the holidays! If we can stick with our weight loss during the holidays, we can stick with it during anything!

And a DW is a great motivator to work towards our goal weights!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
