Just put a posty note on the dress saying alteration Friday at 10am bring wedding shoes... I can just hear hear callin all of her sisters and my FMIl... "do you have any idea what kind of dress she is wearing'? rant rant rant....lol So funny!!!!

Oh my goodness those shoes - although my vote would be the dress is worse. Congrats on the invites....everything is coming together for everyone!!

I just finished my booklet for my OOT. It's so big ha ha ha I even have a TofC and flags for numbering that match the TofC. oh I'm such a nerd. So I have a list of emergency numbers, shopping, packing list, meet the guests, flight info (baggage allowance etc.), langugage guide, map of resort and excursions available. I'm also going to put in a list of all people coming and rooming together and a spot to put their room number so when we get there people can fill it in and know where everyone is.

Hi ladies! How is everyone today?

Sue - that is a wonderful story - I'm glad she didn't tell him, would have caused more humiliation in the end...you are right, some things are better unsaid

Teneil and Timberly - have fun in VEGAS! WHOOP!! I wish I could be there! :) And have fun at your boudouir shoot Timberly - You'll be beautiful!

Shells - can wait to see a sneak peek of your shoot!

Brooke - I'm sorry your kitty's paw is hurting... sad.gif I hope he gets better soon!

As a side note, I bought one of those Christmasy collars for my cat last night...she didn't look too impressed when I put it on, but it's still on! It's red and fluffy and has a jingle bell shaped like a goldfish with fake diamonds - it's so adorable!! :)

Chris - Have fun in BC! And I definitely think the dress is worse than the shoes! Who wears that dress?? or those shoes!! AWFUL! Maybe if your wedding was a "themed" wedding like halloween, and the bride was going as a stripper?? LOL

Krista - great idea for the room number/guest list! that will definitely help everyone!!

I want to use some of these smilies - here's my smily for today muscle.gif because I'm feeling strong today!

Chris: Whew! Thank goodness that's not your real dress. I assumed, but a part of me was worried for your grandmother.

Brooke: I have exchanged a couple of emails with her. I got tired of waiting so had my TA contact her. They said that the reason I hadn't heard anything was because we are supposed to get in contact with them 2 months before, but I KNOW they previously said 3 months so I'm not sure where this 2 months came from! One part that also kind of irritates me is that I know that brides that have their wedding in April/June/July have been in contact with their WC for months and picked out their gazebos and private function terraces, ect. and I finally talk to her less than 3 months before and she tells me where I HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED. What the heck?!? So other people get to choose, but that's my only option because nothing else is left. Well, how is nothing else left if we're not supposed to get in contact with them until 2 months out! Sheesh! I remember you saying that some of the terraces were awkward, like you were just in the middle of a walk way...do you remember any location in particular that was nice that I could attempt to request. Right now she says that we are in the Bumbiglia (SP?) gazebo and we can have that terrace as well?? I'm not gonna stress out about the location I know it will be great no matter what, but it just still irritates me a little. :)

I agree 100% with you, but I don't remember seeing the terrace set up. Have you looked through reviews? Doesn't it peeve you that when you follow thier rules you get stung?

Chris- Thank god-- I didn't know how to politely tell you the dress was awful! lol

Shells- I am dying to see photos.

Timberly- They day is getting closer!

Krista- LOVE the little collar with the xmas theme!

So I am bringing a small dry erase board to post the the door with a dry erase marker so our guests can know where to find us or each other as well as an OOT welcome. I just don't want to feel like I have to stick to a plan, but if we change it to a different place they can come and join us.

I see there are a few Alberta brides on here -- where is everyone from? I've finally thawed out my fingers long enough to do some typing on BDW! Today's -17 weather seems almost balmy...

A little about myself so you girls don't feel like you're chatting with a perfect stranger:

I got engaged in February of this year in Australia while my FI and I were on vacation. Our wedding is at the Occidental Grand Xcaret near Playa del Carmen on Feb. 16. We're actually doing a symbolic ceremony, as we wanted to get all the legal stuff out of the way here in Canada (much less stressful). Right now, it looks like we'll have around 30 guests. We're keeping everything pretty low-key; that's that way we prefer it.

I'll have to figure out how to post a pic of my dress. It's very beach-appropriate, I think; something I envisioned from the get-go.

Great to be part of this group!

Welcome Teshy1! Today's weather -20 in Sask seems balmy too!! I heard that the only place colder than Edmonton this past weekend, was Siberia!! YIKES! -58.4 - WHAT IS THAT? I don't think things can live in that temperature, but apparently we do! lol....

If you have your dress posted to a website like photobucket, etc. you can just copy and paste the link into the reply box and it will post a link and/or the actual picture. Maybe there is a better way that someone will suggest, that's just how I know how to do it.

Nice to meet you! bunny_4.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
