The review on facebook was very helpful as well! It made me feel a lot better. Sounds like she had a great day and that maybe she had the same worries as us beforehand.
Laura,
Yes, this is the "new" beach location. Ana had said that she was going to propose to management that they would remove the first row of palapas. I don't know if that will happen, but that would help a little. Ana also emailed me today. She said that there was going to be a wedding today in the new location and she would send me photos when she had them.

Does anyone know if there is any additional costs to use this room besides the $80 in wine. I know we would have no problem downing at least $80 worth of wine. LOL Is there a dinner cost?

Thanks again!
From what I understand, you get the dinner (all included) just as if you were eating at one of the restaurants. You would either order from the italian restaurant or french restaurant (depending on which one is open).

Jen thank you so much for sharing your pictures! They make me a little more relaxed about not seeing the resort before my wedding! It looks really pretty. My wedding planner just got back from the resort and I am excited to see her pictures too!

I was wondering what people are having their groom/groomsmen wear? We are planning on white linen but I wasn't sure where we could get them from. Anyone have ideas? Thanks!!

Do you have to earn points to view attachments?
Has the beach location changed?
Ana never sent me any photos of the terrace location. Do you have some?
Thanks!
Hi! You have to have 150 posts to be able to open attachments. The beach location apparently has changed because there were some complaints about the lack of privacy of the other location. Although I haven't been there, from what I gather, the new location isn't totally private either but it is an improvement. There is also the gazebo but that is definitely not private since it has the beach bar on one side and the pool on the other. As for photos, if you look back in this thread, there were some photos posted of the different locations for the reception...maybe around page 50 or so? Hope this helps!

I think that our groomsmen will be wearing tan linen pants and white shirts. My FI got a tan linen suit from here... Linen Suits and it is really nice. The jacket was too big and we exchanged it with no problem...they were really good to deal with. There was also a thread on here, I think, about this place... Linen Suit - 8 Colors [Linen Suit] - $99.00 : Studiosuits.com, Custom Suits | Designer Suits I never ordered anything from them but the prices seem really good.

Ok, I know I am obsessing a bit, but I noticed that all of the really good reviews that have come through on trip advisor over the last few days have disappeared. Maybe they will reappear, but they are not there right now. Has anyone else noticed this? Now when you look the most recent reviews are those group of negative reviews. Why is this?? Up until now, I have never really used trip advisor. Do they do that periodically so that people can read various reviews?

What are you all doing for decorations and centerpieces at the reception? What are you using for lighting? I saw some new pictures on Facebook and it looks really dark. We will use the lights under the tables and tiki torches, but those were both used in the photos on FB and it still looks dark.

Ok, I just looked again and they are there. Maybe they were doing maitenance on the site. It said 105 reviews (17 showing).

Oh well, I don't know what happened, but I am glad those reviews were not deleted.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
