How private is the Cascade terrace and how private is the oceana terrace?? I see the pool in the background of the oceana but can't see the opposite side of the cascade terrace. Were people swimming in the pool?

they actually kind of kick people out if there is a private event. of course that does not stop people from sneaking a peek but i think that happens every where.

they actually make them pretty private events.

I am still all over the place and considering all my options so in some threads you might all see me talking about my wedding at the FA and then asking questions on other places too! I am a mess! :)

I had mine at the Cascade Terrace. My photos are now up on Juans website (See wedding/engagement photos section for link and directions) I was very happy with it. And if anyone was watching our reception from the pool I never even noticed. We were totally in our own world. I had just over 50 people and it was perfect with our hor d'hoeurves served on the top terrace and then 3 tables on each side with the dance floor in the middle on the bottom terrace. I think if you want a big space for dancing this terrace might be better. I think you will end up happy with whatever you choose though.

I brought the luminarias and chinese lanterns with me, Mariana had it all set up the way I requested...

Michelle, I'm in the same boat. It's so hard to figure out when you can't see it in person. I just booked a site visit for the end of September, if you can wait until then (which I'm sure you probably can't) I can take pictures of everything I see. If you want any special pics just let me know, I'll be happy to take some for ya!!

Amanda~

I am guessing that I will need to decide before then...but thank you. I would still be interested in seeing your pics...do you know where you plan to look?

I still want to do a site visit...maybe I can book a last minute weekend trip for the end of august. I will need to go before the end of september because I don't have my passport...we just applied so i have to fall under that special advisory thing...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
