OMG I would be freaking if I didn't have a dress right now - oh wait, I am freakin because I have a dress but it's too huge!!! AHHHHHHHH!! My aunt is coming into town this week sometime and hopefully she'll get it taken in really soon. We also got our welcome letter done and tonight, hopefully make a couple of OOT bags so that I can ship them to some family members.

I still have to do music. I have NO idea what song I want to walk down the aisle to. Any ideas?! This is stressing me out!

I think I am going to walk to that song too. I'm not sure yet about the BM's. I have 4, and I'm not sure how long it'll take to get through all of us walking... so I'd hate to have the music stop, or worse!, start the same song again for me. So I guess I just decided to give them a different song. Wish me luck trying to find one!! Any thoughts?

Ugh, things were going so well with planning, but last night I hit a wall. My WC told me that b/c we don't have 50 ppl, we can't rent out the restaurant OR hold our dancing there. SO it's either the beach bar (outside) or the disco. I'm leaning toward the beach bar because that way we still feel like we're in Mexico, and we're outside, and hopefully people will dance. I'm just so worried! I had a mini-meltdown last night. I think I'm too much of a control freak to plan my wedding through emails with a girl who speaks english as her second language.

Bonus: I JUST printed up our pre-wedding mailers with a wedding day timeline, and now things will be changing. worried2.gif

I hear you on the music thing... I have no idea how were going to figure out how long it will take to get everyone down the isle. I have 4 BM's then me, so like you I am going to chooses a different song just in case! I am using "Frozen Ghost - Love of My Life" I love the lyericks, it kinda goes with the walking towards him thing... As for the Dancing I was kinda worried also, but a friend of my FI insures me that the setting will make people dance. You know just being away for a week happy and lots to drink...lol I hope so!!

Well, time is getting close for me, we leave on the 3rd! Just trying to tie up most of my loose ends b4 Christmas, as I'm sure I'll be busy with other things then. OOT Bags done, and packed, Dress done (Yeah)!!

My 91 year old grandfather is unable to make the wedding, travel is just too much for him. Its kinda sad, and I feel bad, but I went and tried on my dress for him yesterday, and we took some photos! Oh and my Aunt (not coming either, or I would not have shown her) just happened to stop by also...

Just a few little things left to do I think... Table indicators, welcome letter/Itinerary, mostly printing stuff... What drives me Crazy is that people keep adding last min of changing dates etc, and not tell me!! No one realizes the planning that I have to do, I'm sure you all know exactly! lol

Aimee, everything will turn our perfectly! Remember, in the end you and your hubby will be married and live happy ever after!! Easier said than done I know.

Imppearl, your dress is beautiful!! So nice to share that moment with him! We leave a day before you... and its 24 days until we get on the plane! SOO pumped!!! I keep counting down the days on facebook and at work. Everyone is getting tired of me talking about it. But come on.. our wedding and a week in Jamaica duh thats why I keep talking about it all the time. I feel like only you ladies and a select few that are going on the trip with us get my excitement! I am happy to have you guys to share everything wedding and a few things that aren't!

On another note...

Thank You! It's so easy to get caught up in "wedding" and totally forget that we're going to MEXICO! Thanks for bring me back to earth.

No work on the planning thread yet... I've been busy with programs, seating chart, playlist, and welcome letter. But the good news is we are getting a BLIZZARD tonight/tomorrow so I might have lots of time to get things cranked out.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
