Laughter is so much easier to get out - but then even doing the cheers to the new Mr & Mrs I can barely get that out!

I am going to see if WikiAnswers has anything for us saps!
Hahaha!! Please do see if you can get us help!!!

See I had two opinions from people:

"DON'T try and be funny, people always do this and never succeed and then you feel bad for them" yikes...

"Oh you HAVE to be funny, everyone's expecting it!"

Ok so after that... I was thinking of how much pressure it is to be funny.

So I settled on my favorite story of how my best friend and I met, which is a cute story since we met in pre-school and I even MADE it funny by doing an impression of her which I got a laugh out of everyone for.

All in all I got compliments all night from people I didn't even know saying that they were crying from my speech and it was the most thoughtful speech and best of the night. So it wasn't a BAD speech it just ended in many tears for the entire table.

Crista, welcome to the unconsistency of lomas travel and what you want "not being allowed anymore"

i just asked about that 3 weeks ago and was told the same thing. Kinda unfair since it was available when I booked my wedding.

I hear the smores thingy on the beach is once a week and free, that might be a good idea, jus grab a bucket of ice and a few beers from your room!!!! :)

Don't even tell me that!!! This was seriously the reason I picked Azul Beach and I will throw the hissiest hissy fit if there is not a donkey at my freaking cocktail reception!

Wow feeling a little Bride-zilla now but this was my big surprise for everyone and I am really looking forward to it! Mark will go bananas if they take this away!

We pretty much had the same reaction this weekend when we found out. We met with our WC to start doing our selections.. when she told us about the donkey no longer being allowed on site, we both had a bit of a bridezilla/ groomzilla moment. Finger's crossed they change their mind... our WC thinks it's because of H1N1 fears...

What!!! I just booked this last month! That doesn't make any sense...

What photographers are you all using? I know that some of the people who got married this year were allowed to pay the $500 outside vendors fee but I've been told that the only photographers allowed on the property now are Matias Canos and Caribe Photo? Has anybody used or booked either of them?

VERY ANNOYING!!! I haven't booked anything yet but I was thinking about the donkey cocktail becasue it seemed like it would be fun. Is your photographer staying as a guest or are you paying the outside vendor fee?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
