OMG I am too. I cry at commercials... My sister's wedding song comes on the radio, and I start to cry.... I dont want to try to block out my feelings in order to NOT cry during my wedding but I dont know any other way!

Speaking of ceremony length, I actually want to make mine longer and want to add the Hand Ceremony. Have you guys heard of it:

Hand Ceremony

In the hand ceremony, the officiant (or person chosen to do this part) invites the bride and groom to view the hands of the other as a gift.

As an expression that your hearts are joined together in love, will you please face each other and hold hands, so you may feel the gift that you are to one another.
These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow, and forever.
These are the hands that will work alongside yours as together you build your future. These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, and with the slightest touch will comfort you like no other.
These are the hands that will tenderly hold your children.
These are the hands that will help you to hold your family as one.
And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.

Blessing after: “Our prayer for you today is that both of you will use these hands to build a marriage where all your dreams come true.â€

I love it. I might tweak the words a bit, but the gist is awesome. I like the idea of holding hands palm to palm at chest level or holding them palms up into each others palms up.

I don't know who to read it for us seeing as my parents are divorced and his Mom is widowed.... Maybe his Mom anyways?

AmyB - That is really cool! I like the hand ceremony, very unique.

I'm going to check out your brochure too!

Man crying, all my bridesmaids AND FI tell me they are for sure crying and I told them if they cry I will lose it!!!!

I was my Matron of Honor's MOH in June, like I said, stage fright, and I had to give a speech to her (which I've never done in any form) infront of her 120+ guests and I was ok, didn't make eye contact with a single person at first, then I look down at her and she's starting to cry... so I look over at the bridesmaids so I don't choke up and ALL of them are sobbing!!! GASP.... I burst into tears and hyperventilated through the remainder of my speech... jeez.

Oh no!!!!! This is why you have to go the comic route! I spoke about my sister at her wedding showing me the way and telling me when it was no longer cool to french roll your jeans. At my Best friend's I told them how we sniffed pepper to see if it would make us sneeze. Laughter is so much easier to get out - but then even doing the cheers to the new Mr & Mrs I can barely get that out!

I am going to see if WikiAnswers has anything for us saps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
