Has anyone used Caribe Photography??

Recommended Posts

Hi girls

Has anyone used Caribe photography? Caribephoto

They are the approved photogs for the resort where I am getting married, but I've really struggled to find much info on here about feedback.

I would really, ReALLY appreciate it if someone would be able to let me know their views.

Many thanks,

Katie.

Hey Katie. I hired Caribe 2 days before I left for my wedding, but I hired him for videography, not photography so I can't say what the quality of his photos are. In terms of the video, meh, it wasn't that important to me, I just wanted something to bring home to my family that didn't make it to the wedding. He was ok I guess. I barely spoke to him. He showed up, did what he had to do and left lol. I met him a few days later and he gave me the video. The quality wasn't fantastic - I couldn't even hear my ceremony music in it, but like I said I wasn't too concerned. Sorry I can't be of more help sad.gif

Who did you use for photography? I believe AS has changed their rules for 2010 and are only allowing two photographers, Caribe and Matias Canos so I'm trying to find out info on both of them.

I used Moments that Matter Photography. They are members of the forum. They were the best wedding decision I made by far! Yes, I believe Caribe and Matias are the only ones that the $500 fee doesn't apply to.

Thanks Crista-Lee!

When I booked MTM they were just starting off in RM, and they had a deal going on where they covered the $500 fee for me but I had to purchase their full package. I don't think they do this anymore. They were actually the only photog that I found that would cover the fee so I guess I just lucked out big time on the timing.

I think AS changed the rules for 2010 and they don't even allow you to pay the $500 outside vendors fee anymore. I was told that the only photographers allowed were Caribe and Matias Canos. Caribe has reasonable prices but I'm not sure if they're reasonable only because the photography is mediocre.

Great pics! You posted a link to them on the AS thread and I saw them then. Looks like everything turned out beautifully.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
