Oops, did I find THE dress??

Recommended Posts

Heather, believe me, that dress looks absolutely stunning on you! With hair and makeup and possibly a veil, it will be incredible!

I know that it can be really hard to decide between dresses - I know I had a hard time! And I still think about the dress that I couldn't afford. But I know that the dress that I chose is fantastic and that on my wedding day, it will be perfect. I'm sure that your dress will be perfect for you too!

Well, I called the bridal store yesterday and spoke with the manager and she will let me exchange my dress for equal or great value! I am so happy. I have been thinking about that ivory dress since Friday when I tried it on. I just felt wonderful in it. The dress we bought is absolutely gorgeous and it did fit me perfectly, but I can’t stop thinking about how great I felt in the ivory. My mom actually had a dream about me and I was wearing the ivory dress, not the dress we bought! So I have an appointment on Saturday and I am going to get the other dress. The ivory dress costs about $200 less but there are always accessories! I will post pictures this weekend of THE dress!

Thank you everyone for your support!!! I <3 BDW!

Heather, I think this is really common. I know I felt that way so I can totally relate! I did something even worse though.... I bought my dress because I only wanted to go shopping once lol. That's right... I hate shopping and I wasn't leaving without a dress lol. I ended up getting something that was the complete opposite of what I thought I wanted. I bought the one that made me feel the best out of all the ones I tried on. I was nervous afterwards because I didn't feel like I LOVED it like I hear so many other brides say. But honestly, once it came time to fittings and the wedding day... I never looked back! I LOVED my dress and I wouldn't have changed it.

Something else to think about - do you really think that when you put that dress on for your wedding day you'll be thinking "meh, I prob could have found something better"? If the dress makes you feel good in now it then I say stick with it!

P.S you look awesome in it :)

Good luck with whatever you choose to do!

I went out looking at dresses myself on the weekend, I hadn't planned really to try anythign on as I am a large girl I wanted to see what was available, however in one store I was talked into trying a few on, after 4 that I had choose I tried on one the lady brought out for me, it looked beatiful on and I loved it. I have some weight to lose before the wedding and so I didnt buy it but I truly loved it, however it wont go with the color palette I had originally through of as it was ivory/champagne color which I dont think will fit with bright fuesia..... nevermind..... I think the dress is most importatnt and if it fealt right do it! Your dress looks georgeus on you :)

I got THE dress! I went back to the store yesterday and I got the ivory dress I wanted. Everyone still said they loved my dress I got first, but I LOVED the ivory. It was hard to pick a dress when people kept saying that they liked the ivory on me but liked the other one better but I was questioning if my FI would love the first dress and there is no question with this ivory one. YEAH I GOT A DRESS!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
