No, it didn't cost extra. We were in contact with the WC before we went down and let her know we wanted to do a tasting.

We are having our reception on the beach outside of the Tropical. We are expecting about 50 guests and are getting a dance floor...so even though we are staying at the Palace, Coral Beach would be a bit tight for us.

OMG thank you so much for sharing your pictures!! I have a few questions:

1. what time are the shows at night?
2. Do you have any pictures of any grills?
I just looked up the showtimes ( I still have my activity pamplet from when I was down there), the shows started at 9:30. I don't know if they change them according to the time of year?
I don't have any pictures of the grill. Sorry!

There are sliding doors for the entire bathroom. The showers don't have a separate door. i.e. if someone is at the sink, there is nothing separating them from the person in the shower. There is a separate door to the toilet though.

November 6, 2010 is on hold for our wedding - yay! :) We are going down there for another wedding next month, and we're going to meet with Xhail. Any suggestions/tips for my meeting with her, since we're still 11 months out? Also, does anyone have 2010 questions that they want me to ask while I'm there? We will probably take another trip as the wedding gets closer, but I would love to get a lot of the details out of the way and at least see all that the resort has to offer... I can't wait for our visit!!

Hi ladies,

Just wondering if anyone knows how the colour choice for the ribbon on the chairs (for an outside ceremony) work? I've seen numerous pictures where the ribbon matches the bridesmaid dresses. Just wondering if the WC needs to know the colour before you go or is that decided when you arrive? Just wondering :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
