I haven't heard much about that resort. She should ask her wedding coordinator or refer to their website for that information.

I know that two out of the MANY resorts in the Riviera Maya area don't make a huge deal over outside photographers. I stayed in The Riu Cancun and The Moon Palace and shot weddings there and I wasn't confronted by one person about paying a fee. I did stay at the resort though.

Hmmm....good to know. PHotography is important to me in my decision of what resort to go to, and I really don't want to pay a huge fee just to have my photographer there. Not good. We haven't picked our resort yet, getting married in June of 2010, but that is something to consider

We just booked at the El Dorado Seaside and we are bringing our own photog- they waived the $500 fee because the photog is staying for 3 nights. Looks like this sticky paid off, but wondering if it makes sense to make other resort stickys for issues that are still active?

Just had our wedding at El Dorado Seaside Suites with our own photographer from Canada. No issues, no extra fees, no hassles. We had cleared it before and they did stay for three nights, but it was seamless...... just thought I'd give a little update :)

I'm also booked at the Azul Sensatorui... we met with our WC this weekend... we found a few things about their policies that we were not pleased with. I'm a little upset with our TA who booked us there for not telling us these details before. Our guests with chilidren, regardless of age, have to pay an upgrade free for a different suite catagory.

With the photography, we've checked out the websites for the "approved" vendors... honestly I'm just not wow'd by what I saw.

I'm a little dispointed already...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
