tam.. you may be able to see the ocean from himitsu (i'd check the resort map on the dreams site) but once it gets dark you won't be able to see the ocean anyway, so i wouldn't let that be a deal breaker!

i ordered my table runners online too... it was just way less expensive to do it that way. i'm not thrilled with the quality either, but i had to revert to my wedding planning sanity check which is asking myself "is anyone going to notice or care?" and since the answer is "no", i can move on!
Erin,
That's how I feel too about the runners... it'll be dark for the most part too so no one will notice and if they do I really don't care...
Deyanira said to me today that there is a partial ocean view and you're right that it won't matter once it gets dark...I just assumed it was on the bordeaux. I think we can always change that anyway once we're done there??

I'm starting to get soooo tired of worrying about all this stuff now the closer we get to our date.. I've been concetrating on all this wedding detail stuff for almost a year now!.. and mostly only getting help with my fellow BDW peeps. I think too maybe because I think I pretty much have almost everything done as well that that helps!

I booked our civil ceremony here for Jan.15.. it's just way easier, cheaper and I was told we don't even have to exchange rings, just vows so I feel less guilty over it!
Also, think we're going to buy our rings tomorrow and I will finally get my "real" engagement ring that I get to pick out!! totally psyched about that.smile29.gifsmile72.gifcheer2.gifwoot.gif
guess I've said enough for one night...

PS, I still need someone to send me the 2010 menu price list.. I cant find mine.

Happy Thanksgiving & happy planning!!
Couldn't have said it better myself!! I had to take a break from the forum for a while bc all the ideas had my mind racing until I remembered the reason I chose a destination wedding and it was to have the perfect scenery and have people take care of these details for me. I am not going to go over budget trying to please people! I know that sounds mean, but for all that I would have had my wedding at home :) I know everyone's day will be perfect, maybe we should all coordinate something with Deyanira about leaving centerpieces or other goodies so the next bride that comes a week, month later can re-use items! Just a thought...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
