April 2010 Brides

It's been about 2 weeks since I've heard from her!!! thing is I don't think I can get anything back, since it was a deposit after all and I did cancel the wedding for here in montreal. But she said in order to get all the files (so I can print which ever pic whenever I want) would cost an extra $75 from the deposit, so we had to give that to her as well, I just really hope we get our pictures. I just don't know what to do about the boudoir photo's, if it takes this long for engagement photo's, I can't imagine how long it'd take to get those pictures, On our first anniversary probably lol!! *sigh*

Tracy - is there still money from your engagement pictures (from the deposit) that you were going to be using up for your boudoir photos? Because if not, then it might be less of a hassle to just find another photographer to do the boudoir session. Plus, then you're just dealing with trying to get the photos she's already taken, and not adding in complications of additional shoots and work for her.

It sucks that it's been so long to get your photos done and I know you were really excited about them! I would just try phoning her instead of emailing to see if you can track her down that way. Mel's right - she might just be away or unable to answer emails? Either that or if you live close enough perhaps try stopping by if she has a studio or something that you could go to.

Yeah Tracy, at this point in time you should be confrontational with this photographer. Like Meghan said, make a phone call. Hopefully she will pick up and give you some answers. Did you make a deposit via check? Is it too late to cancel the check? I would look more into that if you can. I wish you lots of luck.

Two weeks does seem too long. I agree that a phone call is in order at this point if she's not responding to your emails. I know it can take a while to finalize photos but she should at least be answering your messages to let you know what's going on. Good luck- I hope it works out okay.

Hey guys,

So I finally finally got an e-mail from her last night!!!! yaaaahhh!!! I huge weight lifted off my shoulder's. So she said she sending them today, all the files were ready last week she was just preparing the photos I get. So I didn't need to call her, because if I did I would be a happy camper and only god knows how I would have come off lol!

I am still waiting for info about the boudior session but I think it'll be done after xmas some time so I'll worry about all the info after the holiday's.

Thank you guys so much for your supportive words, you guys are amazing and understanding. Love you guys!!!!

Yay for getting more people booked Michele, that's awesome! It's nice when the numbers start creeping up! I'm sure that you'll still be able to get lots planned, you'll just have to be really organized and make sure that you don't slack off! Haha, as if that's what you've been doing this whole time anyways right?!

I haven't done anything for the OOT bags - I've gotten some from Vista Print but I don't love them - I don't know how many I need so I've been hesitant to order anything but I feel unsettled about that - I don't even know what i'm putting in them yet, table arrangements, music...maybe once the holidays are over I'll feel better. We have stuff going on almost every night.

My new job is recruiting for a small biopharma company. I like it but it's a long commute and I just don't feel like i have much time to myself.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
