just to clarify, you can pick everything while you're there...but you'll be picking from what she's offering. if you want something specific, bring a picture of it. she has a book full of decorations, flowers, etc. but if you want anything specific, its better to bring an actual picture vs. description. for example, I brought pictures of my inspiration bouquet, grooms flower, the wedding cake, how I wanted the guestbook table to be set-up; a picture of a hair flower; and the pictures of past Sandos weddings which mocked the exact decoration which I was looking for; and its an added bonus if you have some type of fabric with you that shows your actual colors; we had out passport invitation so she was able to see the actual hues of pink and blue that we were after...hope that helps.

Hey Everyone!

I can't believe my wedding is in 81 days!!!!!! Am I the next one, on this forum? Or is anyone in January?

I'm beginning to get quite frustrated with Paola because I've emailed her all of my answers to the questions that we will discuss 'in our appointment' and she's emailed me all of those questions again! Based on what Kuyana said, I'm not even going to worry about getting her all that info, since she apparently won't have it when we get there anyways! wtf.gif

As far as room upgrades go, we really want to have a special room during our stay since it's our wedding but it sucks they can't guarantee that especially since we are bringing 34 people to their resort! Throw me a bone! LOL. We are going during peak season which is why i was hoping to secure that ahead of time. Kuyana, did you guys get an upgrade? If not, how was your room?

Sorry to be negative! blush2.gif I really needed to vent to someone who understands! Any feedback or suggestions would be welcome!

Thanks!

Jennifer

Welcome and Congratulations!

I don't know of any way you could possibly get around that or I haven't heard of any way, at least. Usually with all inclusives you have to wear a wrist band so if you don't have one and they see that, I'm not sure how that would go down. You even need to get a day pass for your photographer if you are not using the resorts.

I will scope it out for you when I'm there for my wedding in Feb.

All the best,

Jennifer

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
