hmmm... I don't know of any cenotes at or near any of those ports... I think they'd be a drive or a ferry away, but it's possible.

But if you weren't set on the cenote, then I'd say definitely do the TTD at Costa Maya!!!!!! I LOVED this port. I would rent a golf cart (hello, awesome photos right there) and then drive down the coast to one of the fishing villages. The water is AMAZING and beautiful. I have some photos if you'd like to see from my last vacation there. However, it was before the hurrican hit...

Hey there! We've got a TTD session booked the day after our wedding, with a photographer that we are bringing from home. Does anyone know where we can find a great cenote location for this shoot?? We're just not really sure where to go. We need one that opens up, with some light, since our photog is working alone and will not have someone holding lights for her. Also, it'd be nice if there were some forest arond, so we have that option as well.

Any suggestions?

Hi, okay...so I really like the idea of TTD and I decided on a whim to buy a dress online from a girl which I now have. The dress I'm wearing for the ceremony on the beach is very simple, and I plan to wear it for the AHR. I bought a big poofy dress for the TTD photos because I thought it would look really pretty for pictures. We are getting married in Key Biscayne (Florida) on Jan 15th 2010 and leaving on a cruise on the 17th to the carribean. After the cruise we are sending our son home with the grandparents and we are going on our honeymoon somewhere in the caribbean (not sure where yet). We live in Saskatoon, SK, Canada and are trying to decide where to do our TTD photos. Some issues I've come across are: getting the dress to the location of the photo shoot, finding a photographer, what type of location for the photos (we for sure want ocean pictures but are considering all other options), and getting the dress home. Some places we are considering for our honeymoon are Bahamas, Jamaica, Mayan Riviera, Puerto Rico... So I guess my question is what would you recommend for a location (considering transporting a big poofy dress) and how should we go about finding a photographer in that location. Here are pictures of my TTD dress...

Ok past brides, I need to pick your brains for a moment please. First off, as some of you have read in my 'rant', I had a very hard time convincing FI to do a TTD session! And all of my wonderful BDWers gave me all of the tools I needed to convince him! bunny_4.gif

So now I'm planning it- Unfortunately, Elizabeth Medina who will be photographing my wedding is not available for my TTD-- I was sad, but she is a very busy, talented woman, so of course I understand. I am now looking to get Cecilia Dumas, who also does beautiful work. OK OK on to my questions!!

1. Cecilia's package is for a one hour session. Is that enough time? I have noticed that most other packages are for 2 hours...

2. I am doing the session the day before the wedding, one of FI's requests. OBVIOUSLY I cannot wear my dress, so I am looking to get a knockoff one made online. Do you have any suggestions on the best fabric? Also, the one I was looking to get redone, is Maggie Sottero 'Reese'. Do you think it's too slim from the waist down to look good in the water?

I really don't know what I would do without you guys!! smile03.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
