svetayasofiya - did you see U2 when they were touring? I went in Toronto. I'm not a fan, but my work gave everyone tickets to go. They sure do know how to put on a show.

Hey quick question - was at wal-mart the other day and they have travel q-tip packages for $0.57. What do you think for OOT bag? FI thinks it's a dumb idea.

Hi Ladies--- I've missed you all the last two days!

Sve--Glad to hear that you got a suprise in after all since your bday was kind of a bust!

Vday- I use to be a Passion Party consultant and its really not as bad as it sounds we always had a lot of fun when I was demonstrating.

I am also really appaled that someone would register just to return stuff and get what they "really" wanted. I put the $849 tv on my registry-- not planning to get it but I want it.

My 1st bridal shower is this weekend (Having 2 for each side his side and mine) and I agree that I Don't want to do all the penis gag gift stuff and going out to the bars asking for guys underwear... I did that stuff in college for goodness sakes! I want to be an adult already. My mom did one where they all had to wear their old bridesmaid dresses and that was really funny to see!

I haven't seen them this tour yet because they haven't come to Mtl. and I couldn't afford to go to TO at the time (nor had days available to take off). But I have tix for TO next July and and am keeping my fingers crossed for the Mtl. general sale this Saturday. It'll be my 10th and 11th shows... Seen them since 1992 in Vancouver (x2), London, Dublin, Las Vegas, New York, Montreal (x2). Yeah... I am a bit obsessed. The wedding is getting in the way of my U2 obsession. I am also a bit nervous about going to all these shows next summer as I hope to be pregnant! My baby will come out singing U2 songs! LOL

*ok, I just shared WAY too much about my crazy self.

shell- glad to see I am back in your good books! wink.gif

More than likely they will have them in the hotel rooms already. I say, save the .57

I need opinions on a couple of things....

First, do any of you have any wording for the invite for the AHR (one month after ceremony)?

Secondly...Here's my situation...parents are divorced, both remarried for over 20 yrs., mom and stepdad just divorced a few years ago. So I have 3 groups of parents. Dad and Step mom helping to pay (the majority) of the AHR. When I send out invites should I...

A. Just put my fiance and I's name announcing the marriage...then feel bad that I'm not acknowledging dad and step mom's generous contribution

B. All parents (4)...seems silly to list them all since really only dad and step mom paying for the reception.

C. Just dad and step mom announce the wedding of ect. ect. ....then feel bad because I'm not acknowledging my other 2 parents.

HELP!

Maybe you could use the wording... your names... followed by "together with our parents want to invite you to" ....... That way no one will feel left out or singled out, but feel like they are being acknowledged ALL sets of parents would feel acknowledged and appreciated whether they contributed or not.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
