Help I need a good deal for Moon Palace Rates

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone,

If you are booking your MP wedding sometime late 2010 from Oct-Dec. What are some of the rates you have beeb quoted? Did you get your deal from a TA or Website? Please help because if I am not able to find a resonable deal I might have to say good bye to MP and hello guest friendly budget resort.

My wedding is in April 2010 - I had to play with my departure dates to find a price that would best suit my guests. Have you checked several different agencies/suppliers??

a friend of mine is booking for 2011 and has been advised to wait until the new year for rates etc. you might just have to wait a little!

i booked with a travel agent in the UK, booking direct with the MP was soooooooo much more expensive (although you get the bonus of the free events, but they're not really free if you're paying so much more, you know?!). some of my guests are staying in cheaper resorts in cancun, and have booked to stay at the MP just for two nights, over the dates of the wedding.

remember 20% of your guests can be external (I actually negotiated and got 30%, and so far all of my guests are residents! typical!)

Yeah, I checked a few. But I know its still early so I have to check back in January to see if there are any changes.

So far, one of the TA's gave me a quote for 1000 per guest for 3N with airfair from Atlanta. And a quote of 1500 per person for my fiance and my self to stay 7nights. I dont' know if this a great deal. but I wouldn't mind paying 1000 for 7nights8days instead.

Yeah, I would just have too. I think I am just going send out my save the dates and wait till february to send out additional info. So that way they know we are going somewhere so start saving..... I will also keep you in mind.

Thanks TA Maureen.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
