I would just hate it if I spent the money for a trial hairstyle and then it turns out that I will have someone different.
On facebook there was a review from the first DRC bride. She said she should have brought a picture because the hairdresser did not speak English. I would suggest that you do this to make sure you get what you want. I wouldn't do a test now, if you really want to do the test I would do it when you get there before the wedding, that way you know FOR SURE what it will look like and the hairdresser has a better chance of remembering how she did it :) For me, my best friend is a stylist and will be at the wedding, this is the one thing I lucked out on!

Thank you. I think I will wait until the week that I am there. I was going to anyway, but thought maybe I should do one now also. But the more I think about it, even if it is the same person...you're right they won't remember how they did it! I plan on having my hairdresser at home do some test styles so that I can see what I like and take photos of the one I like the most.

You mentioned a review on FB from the first DRC bride. Do you know where that is? I didn't see it but would love to read it. Is it just on the FB wall or is it a discussion. I don't know where to look!

Could be a waste to do it if it ends up being a different stylist on your actual wedding. I think I will do a dry run the week of our wedding because my hair seems to be picky!
Lol...my hair is REALLY picky too! The humidity should do wonders for my naturally wavy hair. It is for this reason that I will be wearing it up. :)

Got some feedback from people on Facebook who have stayed here. ONLY downside I have found to this resort is that there is no snorkeling really on site. When I stayed at the Catalonia RM, the snorkeling was AMAZING and I want my guests who have never left the states to have that experience on site. :o( I guess it comes with the location.

Hey everyone! I just received an email from Ana about the beach location. I expressed my concern about the privacy issues and she said that when I get there I can pick the location to have it set up, this is good news! Hopefully there will be a spot on the beach quiet enough for a wedding without random people in the background!

That is wonderful news. I need to get my wedding planner to shoot her a email about this. I was really concerned when I saw the pictures of the wedding on the beach and saw people in their swimsuits in the background.

Also girls have you found any wedding reviews from brides that have married at this resort?

Yeah I have read this too. I think it is a bummer. But I guess you can't have everything! I heard that the reef directly out from the resort has some beautiful snorkling and you can catch a boat right at the resort. There is an additional fee, but I'm sure it is worth it. Also, I'm wondering if the clarity of the water depends on the season (just a thought...not sure though).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
