Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Andrea - what kind of stuff did you get at your shower? Stuff off your registry?

Katie - Even WORSE! I thought my math was off and I was thinking, oh I've got an extra month!! NOPE. You two are under 6 months my friend :)

Lindz - Can't wait to see the pix!

AmyB- A placecard tree is the vision in my head at this point. I saw something similar to it and decided to take a chance and make it myself. I'm going to ship it down to a shipping/receiving company in Mexico and just pick it up when I get there. I purchased a manzanita branch which is dead but looks alive and it's strong. Then I purchased this wood box and flower foam to stick the branch in and hold it in place then river rocks to put on top and moss to line the inside of the box. Then I have been buying up vintage playing cards with all different birds on them and sage ribbon. I'm going to punch a hole and string the ribbon through and hang the birds in the tree. The back of the card will be the table number and the persons name which I will hand paint. The table number number will be the original number of the playing card.

I really hope this all goes as planned.

Also, as if I don't have enough to do already, I decided I am going to make fabric hair flowers for my bridesmaids as well instead of have them made (too pricey) and also may attempt DIYing my birdcage veil.

I need to stop adding stuff to my list!

Hola ladies, I'm back!

I just wanted to give you a short update on the wedding. I'll do a detailed review after I write to my TA and Karisma.

My wedding day was amazing. I loved it! There were quite a few bumps along the way, but thankfully my photogs were a huge help in sorting that out. It was raining the day of the wedding (off and on) so we couldn't have it on the beach. The WC was inisisting that we have it in a freakin hallway of one of the buildings..... luckily my photogs found a better spot and fought them to the bitter end on it. We won :)

I didn't do a private reception but my dinner was amazing. I was impressed the MOST about the dinner. Because we were such a small group they allowed us to have it at the Siena rather than Spoons. It was amazing!

Honestly, the resort is beautiful..... I had an amazing time with my friends and family. I'll try to get on my review ASAP, I'm just swamped with work right now sad.gif. Reality sucks after being waited on all week lol!!

All of the stuff from the shower is stilling on my dining room table and floor around it. Since Jason is out of town this week for work, we decided to leave it all there until he's back. I got lots of new wine, martini, highball glasses. All matching of course with the matching ice bucket. Can't have a good martini without a little shaken ice. :-)

I registered for games like jenga, scrabble, apples to apples, etc.. It went over great we got so many games we are going to have to take some back. But now we can have wine and game night with friends during the winter.

The big items were a convection oven/ toaster oven, kitchen aid mixer (color ice blue) with the attachments, a steamer. I won't iron but I will gladly steam my clothes now. :-)

We are going to have to do some serious cleaning out soon. We still have most of my stuff boxed up from when I moved into the house in April.

If someone knows a college kid that needs a fishstick pan let me know, I think we have 5 old ones in good condition. :-)

Happy Tuesday ladies!!

Nicole,

Congrats and welcome back. I am so excited you had a great time at the resort and that the wedding was perfect even with it raining. I know we are all interested in all of the details of the week. How your nails held up? How did your make up go? Did you get your hair done there? How was the spa? Ok, I am getting ahead of my self. I am not doing a private dinner either so I really am interested in that whole experience. I might PM you and get your thoughts.

So happy for you to be a Mrs. !!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
