I use to work for LA Weight Loss and my best advice (which I never follow) eat lean meats like chicken and turkey. Eat 5 times a day make the biggest meal breakfast and NEVER skip it. Its like this..... would you take your car out of the garage without gas? Then why do you do it to your body? Eat something in the morning. Yoguert with a low fat granola in it and a banana is fine. Egg whites with wheat toast is great. I love cottage cheese and pineapples. Most days it honey nut cherrios! For your first snack grapes, baby carrots, an apple, raisins keep it low carb for the snacks. If you are finding yourself really hungry get the Fiber One Bars (mocha and oats, or chocolate and oats or carmel and oats rock my world) and eat one of those. Look for stuff that is highest in fiber and you will feel fuller. Lunch i like having a chicken breast grilled not fried and a vegetable- watch out for eating to much corn and peas as they are FULL of starches and carbs. Broccolli is the wonder veggie and so is califlour. Snack time again!! Dinner eat sensibly and don't go back for seconds. Make less than you normally would. If you are really needing a sweet snack late at night-- go for the fat free ice cream in a small bowl and only 1 scoop (I make my scoop really big!!)

Ok so thats a long post! But remember fuel in the morning and eat 5 times a day and you should see results. The best thing to do is count your calories- you may be SHOCKED at how much you consume in a day!

PS- Shellk I think I got confused because I thought it was you that asked me if I had been to the Moon Palace way long time ago so I thought you were going there to! I am terrible at advice I guess! lol

Good morning my lovelies,

Weight lost!!! hmmmmm there is a thought... oh thinking, damn that hurts....

I have been cutting back and trying to reduce the wine chats with the gfriends. I have always been a chunkie chic and I don't see that changing especially with three months left to go (damn where has the time gone).

My suggestion is to workout and walk.... I think at this point there isn't any magically weight lost going to happen, just to smooth things out and tighten things up.

I am sure there is tons of tips on here from some very motivated brides, just keep searching for info.

I think I seen a new Freaken February Bride on our thread "Welcome and happy planning Girl" Oh Oh I found the scroll back button "It's Trica, Hi Tricia..... Shut up I have only had one coffee.

Tricia Rocks!! Ok I am really biased cause she is getting married the day before me at my resort and I am going to stalk out her wedding (shhussshhh don't tell her its a secert!!) Since I was feeling guilty I thought I better practice what I preach and grabbed a banana and a hand full of grapes for breakfast and then went and did a 1.25 mile run/walk. So now I have a MAJOR test in less than an hour.

Why girls? Why? Why must you all be so fun to talk to on here? It really cuts into my productivty!! Of course coming on here feels like I get to chat with close friends so thats awesome!

I'll let you all know how the test goes. 75% of people who take it fail thier first time... gulp!

I do home staging and "small get ready for market renovations', what a team we'd make. That is great news congrats on your test!!!! Now you can focus on your wedding. I think I remember you saying that you were a flight attendant? Are you doing a career change?

Nope I am that crazy insane girl who thinks she can do it all (hence the reason I am drinking a diet coke, resling wine and cappacino all at the same time right now) and I am going to do both. I love my flight benefits to much to give them up and need something to keep me busy the other 20 days of the month that I am not flying!

futuremsmoulton, well thats the last time i rely on you for help then if you dont even listen to what i say.or was it me i was flapping hehe.no prob thanks again.how weird is it though that after that you looked at riu as well.

tricia, welcome to the crazy lady thread.are you as excited/emotional as us?what you got done so far are you having fun planning?thats good you 2 will be at the resort at the same time.you will have to stalk her wedding lol.

well i lost 2lb in weight this week.i have got to have dress alterations done next saturday hehe.and i am on double digits tomorrow.bring it on

Thanks for the welcome!! I am super excited! A little less emotional now than I was in the beginning. Tears were definitely shed, but it's been a lot better now that we've picked our place and I've decided to stop trying to please everyone else! :) Our main goal is to have a fun wedding/AHR!! so I try to take it all with a grain of salt (although not always successful I have to admit).

I am having fun planning! Each week I try to do a little more. So far...venues booked, STD's sent out, Music for AHR, Caterer, Engagement Pics taken, photographer for AHR booked. Last week I finally ordered my dress. A little behind, I know! I had to have it rushed, but they assure me it will make it on time! This week I got the cake lady reserved for the AHR and met with a lady to design our wedding bands. Next week...AHR invites and centerpieces figured out hopefully. Our wedding in Mexico is going to be very minimal I think. Just the basics and hopefully a lot of fun, while we're at it. It may be a boring wedding to stalk FutureMs.Moulton. :)

In response the the dieting...I have found that I do best with my eating when I write everything down. I hardly ever snack when I do that because I hate to write down "3 dorritos-45 calories". :) So I have this very crazy "health journal" that has 3 sections: diet, vitamins, and exercise. I try to fill in out everyday to stay on track. I have the template if anyone is interested. I know...it's a little anal, but it helps!!

I hope you all are having a great weekend. It's beautiful weather here in Missouri and I am still stuck in this hotel room for work....not fun!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
