At this time the 2 nights in a Grand lux Beachfront ( the lower room cats were sold out except for the one just below this category) is $ 2416/ 3 nights is $ 2355.60

The only thing I can think of is that he booked the 3 nights between promotions so that the he paid full rack - he may want to take a look and see if he can get it for less, especially if you are footing the bill!!
We booked as a group contract and the group rate was the same per night regardless of if it was 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 for that matter number of nights? (We booked with a TA, Sandals/Beaches Specialist as well)... It works out to (if memory serves) 277pp based on double occupancy per night. This is for the deluxe honeymoon rooms (if that the right name? the cheaper ones). He (and everyone else) is already booked in :) (thank goodness with all of the sold out rooms!!)... Thanks for the help!

My daughter is getting married on May 8, 2010 at Beaches Negril . We want to have the 2 hr sit down dinner. The wedding is at 1PM. I am concerned about the Martha Stewart packages as well and we wish to order separate

bouquets instead of the packages. My daughter has Amber as the WC.

She never returns her calls. I am anxious to see if these up coming brides will have to use only the MS packages. It doesn't seem right to me that we can't

make our own choices. Has anyone gotten a straight answer about the flower issue?

As I understand it, because Sandals/Beaches does not yet have all of the pricing for the MS stuff, we are able to arrange our own flowers. The WCs asked for price quote for us. I am told that the caveat is that everything has to be arranged and paid for by 11/30/09. Hope that is helpful. I think they are not 100% sure how it will all go, since it is not yet finalized (to our benefit, right?)... Amber is so confusing to me because she is so nice to talk to but TERRIBLE on correspondence (email/phone).

Hope that is helpful

If you have a TA, advise them that Amber is not returning your calls/email. It seems to help me a lil when I am trying to touch bases with her.

When I talked to Amber last week, she could not confirm about me bringing my own decorations. I agree I dont think its fair to make people pay for decor we dont want. She sent me the MS options/rate. They are crazy! My friend got married at Dreams Cancun and had her own decor. If PB was still avail you would not have to use his decor. Amber says she has a list of brides that have the same question and will contact us when she gets an answer. Lets just stay on the issue and whoever gets an answer first, will advise.

I find this forum so helpful, thanks ladies for all your info.

My TA has been calling and requesting the WC call or email me... does anyone feel like a nagging child having to chase around for correspondence? (I do)... but the TA assures me its not being bridezilla, our day is only 3 months out.

There are so many great ideas on this forum!

Is anyone having an after party stateside afterwards? Whats it going to look like?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
