Hope that works! I love it but of course the model is wickedly skinny, doesn't look quite the same on this girl. ;0)

Good luck to all of you who have your fittings this weekend, I hope it all goes well!

So much activity!!

Tam - your dress is beautiful!!! I think you'll fall in love with it again when you go to your fitting and they start making it "your" dress!

Ok so the menu prices. While my fingers are clearly crossed the cheaper option is correct, i doubt it very much. I think the prices on the website are old and that they do not include Tax & Tip. Whereas the prices in Toya's post (which is what i was quoted as well) are most likely correct but they include tax and tip which lessons the discrepancy a wee bit.

Also they keep telling me they don't have 2010 prices for the cocktail hr. Has anyone been quoted anything for this?

I'm definitely curious to hear what someone from Dreams says about it rather than my own interpretation!

Thank you Jocy.

I might have the cocktail pricing, but right now I'm at work (on lunch), so I will look for it when I get home..

toya, let us know when you find out from deyanira about the prices. if they went down i would be SUPER happy!!

my TA is currently checking with dreams about the 6th room free deal... apple vacations already told her that a wedding negates it, but i'm hoping dreams says otherwise!

i also got some clarification from deyanira about the kids meals... the kids DO count towards your 20 people, however their meals (if they eat something different from everyone else) will bring down the cost of the reception a little bit as kids meals are 1/2 price.

she is checking for me on whether or not we can have cupcakes instead of a cake too... i hope they say it's okay!

i also asked her about moving my chair sashes from the ceremony to the reception while we're taking pictures. she didn't quite answer the question i wanted, but she did send me a picture of the different colors of linens that they offer. i will post the picture if anyone wants to see, but in my opinion they colors aren't nearly as bright as what you can get online and their prices are SO much higher!

When I look at all the other dresses (especially on here) I start doubting my choice...
I will say two things though:
I am true hour glass figure so I got a dress that fits over the hips.
I look WAY better than the model does in the dress.. she just looks like she's PMSing and needs some chocolate or something.
If you look it up (I tried to get a link to it) you have to be as honest as possible..
Im sure I will feel better once I try it on again, but I'm still freaking..
Tam your dress is beautiful and I'm sure you will love again when you go back for the fitting.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
