When you think of it like that, it's really cheap.
Thanks. That is a good rate and i'm hoping to speak to a TA ASAP and try for a deal, but in the meantime I can give his parents a rough estimate. I don't think they understand it would be more expensive if they were to stay at a hotel that didn't offer the all-inclusive...Thanks again!
I can't wait to hear all about your wedding and see lots of pics!!! HAVE A BLAST!!

you should email or call the hotel directly and talk to the group sales manager, Armando. He will give you the discounted rate per person based on what month you are going. We are getting married in Jan and were given a rate of $147 USD/person/night. If people stay at another resort, they can come to your wedding about an hour before the ceremony and dont have to pay for a day pass..we tried to go through a TA for our group but the prices were so high, like 2200 per person! so most of our guests booked on Orbitz Travel: Airline Tickets, Cheap Hotels, Car Rentals, Vacations & Cruises and a few did the rate through the hotel and booked cheap flights online..hope that helps! just explore all your options, the prices can range very much!

No problem! I think we stayed in the second-lowest category - i believe it was Partial ocean view. Which to be honest was kind of a joke - i think if we stood on our toes and craned our necks we could KIND OF see the water, lol! But the rooms were super nice and brand new, and we didn't spend too much time in there anyways, so it was okay for us. But you'll definitely need to pay for the upgrade if you want a good view - i think there are only 4 buildings that have true ocean views, other than those, you would be too far away.

I don't know if this link will work, but i found this map online when i was looking at the resort:
Webshots - Full Size Photo

You may want to email the resort to request one of the building numbers closer to the ocean.

Good luck!!

I was also quoted the $130 per person, per night directly from the hotel for my wedding next October, so that would be the same for you since that's when you'll be there too. I thought that was a great rate to start with, and i'm hoping to have my TA work out a group discount to go even lower.

We am going with Juan Navarro as he is included with the packages and i am not sure i can afford to go with an outside photographer. I am not planning on getting alot of prints so we are getting the 50 prints and album that comes with the package and then paying to have all of the photos on a cd, which we can make prints of at home if we want to. His website is juanphotos.com and is worth checking out.

Are you going with the wedding package at the resort? If you do choose an outside photographer you may be able to get a trade for the photos in your package but I know they have been cutting back on alot of the trades recently.

If photos are really important to you and you have it in your budget, alot of the ladies seem to have gone with an outside photographer, usually claudia rodriquez studios. I am not sure what her website is but they have several phtographers, each with slighty different styles.

On a seperate note, does anyone happen to have a price list of Juan Navarro's packages or atleast info on a TTD session the next day?

My fiancé is a photographer’s nightmare. He knows all there is to know about cameras, Photoshop and photography. We are going with Pierre Violle because he passed my fiancés artistic style and equipment questioning. I am very excited to use him and most excited about his TTD photo sessions. So far he has been really great to work with. His web sight is Pierre Visual Studio - Wedding Photography- Mayan Riviera- Playa del Carmen - Home - Wedding Photographer

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
