Amy and Shannon - If you are looking to find a way to save a little on invitations you can have your guests RSVP via your website. This would save you money on return cards, envelopes, and stamps. Mywedding.com has an option for this. I also just realized that you can include multiple events (rehearsal dinner, wedding, ahr). I was so excited about this because we are having an AHR in St. Louis and possibly in Chicago!! Amy it looks like you have a mywedding.com site, you should check it out!!

Thank you. Most of our guests are on email and use the internet, but a chunk aren't so they wouldn't know the first thing about it =(

My FMIL just recently went to our website for the first time, and it's been up since April ... lol

I did look into it, but I think we will stick with the traditional invites and suck up the cost of that one =(

lol..don't you love it!!! Well GUESS WHAT! I posted on facebook on my Future MIL's page that I wanted her to go on and hear the song....WELL, Kevin's cousin happened to see me post it, and Immediately went to our site..and her wedding is in March, AND...you guessed it, thats her song too! dammit!
But- we are planning to still keep it. Its a great song, and there will not be too many repeat guests- just mostly his mothers side, not his fathers side or anyone on my side.
I also love- 'She's got whatever it is" by Zach Brown Band- Its too quick but I think we might play that second and invite everyone else up to dance!

YOu know what...I just might do that! Thanks for that idea. I just hope everyone will go on- I can't see why not. Even Kevin's grandparents have signed the page, so everyone else is younger pretty much and had better be online! Thats a good idea!

I was worried at first that my Mom might not think this was formal enough, but even she said it would be more convenient. You save people a trip to the mailbox! One of my Grandma's doesn't do the Internet, so we thought about providing an option to call. Otherwise she can just have someone else help her.

oh thats a great idea about the option to call! I like that!

I don't know what I"m doing yet in Mexico in terms of after our dinner/reception. I feel like the Iberostar is nickle and diming us when you consider you have to pay per person for dinner AND coctail hour over 10 people, and then, doing something with a DJ after....I think we're skipping it. I almost want to skip the coctail hour because what is the difference? People can just get whatever at the bar?! I don't get it. It would be nice to have a definitel PLACE to meet, but can't I do that informally? I don't know. I know also some people just get the ipod set up with speakers- we will have to look into that!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
