Dreams La Romana

I am getting married on May 7, 2010 with a beach ceremony and beach reception. I have not been able to find many pictures at all for what the beach ceremony set up looks like, but here are the few pictures that I have received from the wedding coordinator.

Hi Everyone!

I'm new to this so it might all come out wrong.

I'm getting married at Dreams La Romana on March 22nd 2010. Thinking of having the gazebo followed by a reception of some sort.

I've read reviews about the dance floor only beng 3 pieces of ply wood - can anyone shed any light on this?

Also wondering what quality the DJ is from the resort to play at our reception. We are going with 30 friends and family so want to make sure they enjoy them selves too!

I also really want a steel drum band but i might be thinking a bit too much on that one!

Any pictures of weddings and receptions at dlr would be so so so gratefully appreciated [email protected]

Thanks

Sharron x

the only thing i heard about the dance floor was from a review from tripadvisor where they just used plywood and painted it. if your having the reception on the beach you most likely would need some kind of dance floor otherwise i dont think it is necessary.

I asked Tiara back in March if they have the option of fireworks, bonfire or fire dances (as some of the other dreams resorts has some of these options) and at the time she only said fireworks but didnt say the price.

Havent found any info on steel drum band as this could be harder to find since this is more of a Jamaica thing. I am pretty sure we will go with the Caribbean music trio.

hi, i was getting fed up of not getting right info, so i contacted Dominican embassey and this is what they said

"Normally the judges require to see the documents prior the wedding, which could be done even the previous day. So we suggest you to confirm this with the hotel, they will be able to tell you. It does not have to be working days, as long as the judge is able to make sure that the documents are in order"

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
