He just doesn't get the point of looking now, when it likely only takes a couple weeks to have a ring ordered and we still have six months to do it! I can't seem to make him understand that the more we can get out of the way earlier then the more sane I'll be close to our date!!
I don't know if you'd still think I was lucky if you'd seen the look on his face when I wanted a second (and then third, fourth, he he) opinion on invitations! Honestly, the ring has been the only thing he's been like that about! He does care and likes to be in the loop (within reason), but so far the only real opinion he's given aside from his ring has been "do we HAVE to have pink?" and "how much will THAT cost!?!"

Erin & Meghan..thanks for your thoughts....I really want shots on the strip more than getting ready...I also purchased a pic pkg for the venue...I just didn't want us to look goofy (lack of better word) with it just being us two. I had already reserved a seperate room for me to get ready in so I can just sleep there as well.

Also our wedding is @ 530p and I am seriously thinking of changing the time to be a bit more early. But I am gonna keep on my dress all day..hehe..and maybe considering changing later in the evening.

Morning ladies..hope all is well with you guys..now why did I see the Tungsten rings in Wally World yesterdayhuh.gif I am still gonna go with the site recommended here but I thought that odd...or is this common?

I think you should get the pics of you get ready, even if no one is there, this is still you big and special day. I say go for it!!

I am so for the not sleeping together the night before, the FI and I are doing this, and just because you'll be just the two of you, you should still stick to your beliefs.

I don't think you or your FI will look stupid, in the end it's just about the 2 of you anyway! so just enjoy and don't worry about anything else!

FI likes to wait last minute too we have no attire for him yet!! =(

I don't think it will look goofy at all! Go for it- it'll have a cool, eloping in Vegas just the two of you vibe- very romantic! Just my two cents!

I'm with you on wanting to keep my dress on- half the reason I want to do a TTD is because I want another chance to wear it.

LOL that is exactly what my FI says, if I mention anything to do with wedding and having to buy things, or add on's 'How much will it cost' that's how he gets involved!

Mel & Tracy..yep I am all for not sleeping together the night before the wedding...he doesn't know it yet but I am gonna be holding out all week anyway..lol!!!

Mel I already told him we are wearing our attire at the ahr also!!!

I just spoke w/my coordinator and we still get to have the candlelit ceremony..which was a big issue for me..I am gonna keep the 5:30 slot..still going back & forth about having it on the net..I mean it's a Saturday 2hrs behind where I live..not sure many folks will be tuning in and I am purchasing a dvd of the ceremony for the ahr..so she says we have the option to have the minister turn it off...hmm just not sure....

I don't know what we are gonna do about the men waiting until the last minute..and men's wearhouse is having a sale and I found a nice linen suit for Brian..now just getting him to go get measured.....

Shan13- Don't worry about the webcam, I think it's kinda creepy anyway, but the DVD is a great idea! As far as photos- stick to what's important to you. Don't give something up just bc it's untraditional. So you're sleeping separate the night before... are you going to be alone the entire wedding day up till 5:30? If it were me I'd either move the wedding to early afternoon, OR spend the night together but spend the whole next day solo (at the spaaaa!) until the wedding.

SuzyQ- Yeahh you made it to 150! Congrats! I bet today is a great day for ya :) As far as the ring... what if you get 2 bands: the band you WANT and wear it solo (not with your e-ring), or wear the matching set. I'm not opposed to getting a unique band and wearing it by itself! This is considering you like the e-ring. If it's truly "not you" then start from scratch wink.gif 8 years and a baby, you earned it!

Erin- Sunday 11/8 noon over cheesecake and martinis IS ON!! You better bring photos from your dress fitting :)

Kimmy yep I will be alone...didn't think of it the way you did as far as all day by myself...I am still considering moving it up though...and I really wanted us to do couples massages...after talking to Rhonda my WC I do get use of the bridal suite and they will take photos then as well...

We live together but I think I am a bit superstitious because my first husband and I slept together the night before and didn't last 6mnth after being together 7yrs..go figure..I am def for moving it up...

I guess if we don't move the wedding up we could do individual spa visitshuh.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
