I am also really confused on the wwhole private reception deal. We got the Caprice package, but have to pay per person if we want private?? Doesn't make sense. Can anyone help with this?!!?

Thank you!!!
The reception for all of the packages are in the steak house...if you want a private beach reception you have to pay for it. We originally were going to do the caprice package but decided to go for the free package and just add the things we wanted. We had the reception on the beach and it was fabulous!!

Congrats! I'm also confirmed for RMB! My wedding is June 5, 2010 at 2pm. Right now, I'm trying to get information for the extra upgrades, such as flowers, music, cake, etc. I just want to have enough budgeted and don't want to be in for any surprises.

Again, congrats and here's to happy wedding planning. woot.gif

I am also booked at the RMB. My ceremony is on June 4, 2010. I am sooo excited to finally have settled on a place. My only concern is, what is there to do when there is such a gap between the ceremony and dinner? I am searching around for ideas.
What time is your ceremony?
Our ceremony was at noon and our reception wasn't until 6. We took pictures after the ceremony with everyone then our guests went in the pool or napped and they all had fun...DH and I went back to our room with some of the bridal party and ate and drank and cooled off. At 5pm DH and I went to the beach to take pictures by ourselves. I was afraid that the gap was too big but it worked out perfectly

My ceremony is at 2:00pm. I too was worried about the big gap. Does anybody have info on what changes can be made with the reception such as linens, chair covers, etc. ? I am sure it will be beautiful but I would like to have the option to personalize it as much as possible. Riu lacks in that department (disclosing information, options and pics different ceremonies and reception setups)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
