hi my name is jen from calgary alberta. planning on getting married in the maya riviera feb 2011. not sure exactly which resort yet but i'm thankful that someone sent me a link to this site . maybe this will help me decide on which resort.

We were thinking of having it at the iberostar tucan cause that is where we met five years ago but we still want to keep our options open.

i look forward to checking all this site has to offer.

Hola Jen and welcome to the forums! Lori and I are originally from Calgary and try to make it back "home" at least once a year.

We capture weddings from Cancun to Tulum up and down the Mayan Riviera and have lots of slideshows up on our site for you to view. It may give you an idea of what the different resorts have to offer. Best of luck with your plans and let us know if you have any questions!

thanks and congrats to you too. i will definalty let you know if i need anything!!! we are also looking at playa del carmen cause we met at the iberostar tucan there about 5 years ago. we just heard a few things about that resort like there not very good with negotiating with big group and they only offer wedding packages for up to 10 people and they make you pay for every additional person. we've heard really good things about the RUI and there discounts they give.. so that's what i'm focusing on right now!!!!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
