Grrr these stupid rules....
Yeah I know! And we honestly don't even care if we aren't all at the same table - we could still get up and say hi to people while we're waiting on dinner. I just want them to make our reservations for the same time!!! I'm waiting till I hear back from our TA and then if that doesn't go anywhere i'm just going to suck it up and call down there. I'm not very good at putting my foot down and getting my way though...

If you would like one of the specialty restaurants. they can only accomodate 10 guests per seating.

If you have around 30 guests and you would like everyone to just have dinner together and not pay for a private reception, you can have staff set up tables in the Main Terrace for your dinner.

I am updating the BRB info thread with some of this info so future brides can find it more easily.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I was going to strangle our TA - she just referred me to a honeymoon registry so hopefully we'd get enough money from guests to pay for the private reception. Is this still a sit down dinner or is it at the buffet? Thanks.

Perfect. I would have liked a sit down dinner but not for $2,000+ and I don't even care at this point! haha. Thanks again for looking into that...I REALLY appreciate it. smile03.gif

Yeah - which is ok but the wedding coordinator wouldn't take the two extra seconds to tell me that we could have tables set up for us at the buffet! Haha....but I WAS under the impression initially that we could eat at one of the restaurants. Oh well.

Hey, sorry I have been off the forum for a few days.

1. Yes, in order to all dine together because of their pacing you eat at the main terrace. She is notorious for giving you the details of what you actually asked but nothing else. Calling her directly has been my savior... should have done it a long time ago.

2. Buy skype credit to call land lines and use it that way... works great and is like .02 a minute!

I hope all is working out for you. I think my details are finally getting hashed out.

Lastly... deep breath... it will all work out... we stick our ground and will ge what we need... no worries mon. :)

Yes, what Maureen has said is absolutely correct. When you get there, scope out an area that you'd like to reserve for your wedding dinner in the Main Terrace buffet area. We chose some tables almost on an island or peninsula, closest to the beach and beach chapel (which is where we were married also).

Also note to make good friends with Sandra, who's the general manager and will generally be taking reservations for the specialty restaurants. She will help with anything needed.

More good info is that Munasan can take reservations for 8 people at a time. You sit 16 people to a grill, with 8 on each side of the grill and there are 4 grills total in the restaurant.

Thanks so much! What do you think the chances are that we could all make reservations at Munasan for the same time? Although....the buffet is nice because we aren't on a time schedule and can take as long as we want. I guess that's probably best anyway....

On a side note - i'm going to search through your other posts now for more resort info. Haha. I remember reading it before but have forgotten everything. Thanks again, knowing we can do that when we get there makes me feel better!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
