The dresses always look so awesome on the models...although not like the pics, I felt awesome in this dress. (I bought it from a preownedweddingdresses.com bride so I did not see it or try it on...chancey but I've had great luck on both my TTD and this one! For a fraction of the retail price.)

Okay... Normal brides allow themselves a few months to find a dress, buy it and have it altered... Nooo, not me! Why make everything easy, right? :) We've been engaged since October of last year, but it was only last week that we finally decided on a date - November 14 of this year! That leaves us exactly 7 weeks total to plan our entire destination wedding! Which means that I only had pretty much just last Saturday to buy the dress, and I had to find the one they had right then and there at the store, in my size, because there is no time for them to order it (turns out, it takes months, who knew? :)), much less alter. So here is the dress I ended up buying. Please tell me it's good enough :) :).

Now, my question is, what I am supposed to do regarding the veil? My FI thinks I should wear one, and that it looks great, but I am not so sure: my hair is short and is not likely to grow significantly in the next 7 weeks?..

Thank you ladies so much for your support! The dress is this one:

Ironically, they called from my first choice place today and said that yes, they CAN have the dress made by October 1 crybaby2.gif

Now, has ANYONE seen a bride with short hair and a veil? And liked it, that is :).

It came down to 2 dresses for me and they were both hers. Their dresses are A-mazing. But when it came down to it my dress was a lot more beach friendly than this one. Now if I was having a ballroom wedding that would be another story
This was my second choice

Bought a dress today!!! Got it on ebay, so we'll see if I actually like it when it comes in... but it is the prettiest of all the dresses I've even looked at... though I might change my mind after dress shopping later this week!! Though I suppose I could use it as a TTD if I find another..

Here it is:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
