Your honeymoon is the calm after the storm where you get to finally celebrate being together and being married. Your wedding day is often a whirlwind of emotions, greetings, speeches and champagne. This is something that needs to be savoured, but your honeymoon is definitely the best part of getting married.
If you’re unsure on what to pack, then we are here to help you. Here is our list of packing essentials for your honeymoon...
We all know that hen dos involve a little bit (or a LOT) of drinking, so you need to think about the next day. If you’re hungover, then the first thing that you will look for is comfort (and maybe a huge fry up on the beach). It’s essential to pack some women’s loungewear, but remember, it is your hen do and every day is a new photo opportunity, so leave the grey sweats at home and go for a more stylish loungewear option.
Your makeup bag is vital on your hen weekend, remember that you are the main attraction, so you have to look your best. This is the time to splurge a little bit on your makeup, so go wild and get everything that you’ve always wanted… after all it is your hen do!
Your honeymoon is an unforgettable experience so it’s always a good idea to make sure that you are taking the advantage of snapping up pictures. Many married couples create a photo album of their wedding day and honeymoon to enjoy for years after. So, why not have a little momento from your special day and do the same?
Your wedding is undeniably one of the most beautiful, yet stressful experiences that you will ever have. Your wedding will be over in a blur of cake, dancing and countless conversations with distant relatives.
There are hundreds of different things that need to be accounted for, checked up on and so on that you can never truly relax. The honeymoon, however, is your opportunity to unwind, to spend some uninterrupted quality time with your partner and to celebrate your marriage.
There are lots of things that need to be considered when planning your honeymoon, so we have made a simple list to ensure that you will have a stress-free honeymoon.
Location location location:
Location is everything when it comes to a honeymoon. This is one of the most relaxing and luxurious experiences you should be having, meaning extra pampering, spa days, beautiful weather, white sandy beaches and somebody to wait on you hand and foot.
Think of somewhere that you have always wanted to go, but have never had the time or even the opportunity. Try and discover somewhere that is quiet, beautiful and somewhere you can celebrate your marriage.
So, if you’re like me, you will be the most stressed out by what you have to pack on a honeymoon. Pretty lingerie and swimwear are an integral part of a woman’s honeymoon closet. Make sure that you have a good mixture of women’s loungewear, as well as nice dressed-up clothing. I really love wearing a summer pant suit with some block wedges when I go away, I think that looks fantastic.
Keep calm and carry on:
Think of the honeymoon as a test run for your marriage. There is going to be a time where you feel that you have spent too much time with your partner. But, don’t let this spoil your honeymoon, instead, make sure that you are giving each other enough space to breathe.
Whether you go for a run on the beach, or even make the commitment to walk to the bar and get some drinks, try to spend a little bit of time by yourself on holiday just for the sanity. Think about how your partner is feeling and then react accordingly.
