  1. @@bridecdb as far as tips, just keep every single email and anything that was promised in a folder just in case. definitely ask questions and not sure if you are hiring an outside coordinator or a day of but I got everything completely different than what the packages F.A offers, everything from chairs, table covers, centerpieces, everything, I went with another company because I wanted a certain look, however, if you go that route, try to use some of the stuff the packages offer. for example, I loved my bouquet and we incorporated my bridesmaids bouquets in the centerpieces so I asked to still get the bouquet their package comes with so I can throw that one when we did the bouquet toss. I used their non floral centerpieces for the cocktail hour so I wouldn't spend more money, things like that. for our food, we had a shrimp and pineapple salad, delicious, and for our main course we had a steak in red wine and tamarind sauce, everyoneeee raved about how good it was! all their food is pretty good so I wouldn't worry too much there. if you are planning to have people get ready in your room, definitely upgrade to a suite, we had one and it still seemed crowded. don't forget august is hot so the room will get hot with so many people in there. also, not sure if you are getting there a few days before the wedding but we got there two days before and I didn't feel like I had enough time to do my hair and makeup trial and approve everything, i was out doing all that so I missed out on time with my guests. let me know if you have any other questions.
  2. how funny, some of those pictures on that facebook are of my wedding. I got married here late last year and I loved it! the hotel coordinator was so nice and helpful, the food we picked was amazinggggg and the accommodations were great! I would definitely recommend this hotel, all of our guests loved it! some are even going back soon in a few months.
  3. thank you ladies! I will search the threads.
  4. Hi everyone I need help with wording some invitations, we're going to have an AHR before we go on our DW, but now here's where I'm lost. I wont be having a bridal shower because I don't want people to think I just want gifts and gifts when they are already spending money to go to our DW. One of my bridesmaids said this AHR should be called a couples shower but not everyone invited to the AHR was invited to the DW so I don't think it should be called a shower. Because we are doing this before our DW, how can I word the invitations?? Any suggestions would be appreciated. thank you!
  5. Hi ladies, I live in Los angeles and am in need of a travel agent that can help with my wedding set for October 2015. If anyone has any good recommendations I would really appreciate it. Thank you.
  6. @@MattyTrinh, We just did a site visit 3 weeks ago and my FI loved it there. We've been to cabo a few times and since we went about a week after the airport opened the beach was pretty lonely so we didn't get the feel of too many "looky-loos" but its a pretty busy beach. HCyC is at the end so I don't think it'll be that busy during sunset. the view is amazing as well!!! in the past, I've stayed at the Bahia hotel and haven't had any negative issues with them. the food is delicious there and its a pretty small hotel. we didn't pick HCyC cause we're doing the AI option but this was one of our top picks if we didn't go the AI route. You'll love it!
  7. thanks Amanda! just read through the thread. helpful and the food looked amazing!!!! but I wanted to know if any brides negotiated and got any additional things for free or reduced prices?
  8. Hi ladies, and gents, we want to get married at cabo del sol and looked at their options. they are a little pricier but we loved not having any restrictions that a lot of the resorts have or any outside vendors fee. my question is to any previous cabo del sol brides, did you try to negotiate with the venue as far as drinks? or free cocktail hour? I feel like that is what's most expensive. we want to try and not let our guests pay for their own drinks since they will be flying out for our wedding but we also need to save where we can. any past experiences with this venue would help. thanks ladies!!!
