  1. I'm with you. Say no. You have the rules and if you bend for one, others WILL get jealous. It's not about her and honestly hurt feelings are going to happen no matter the intentions or precautions taken to prevent them. Bob chance!
  2. I . I won a photography upgrade from a site I didn't enter... It was from That's Amore Photography Iin California. When I posted on WEDDING WIRE if anyone else had won this too, I got a strange call from them (That's Amore) saying to take the post down because people were calling WEDDING WIRE about it and the site didn't want to get in trouble. The site had no clue what was going on so yeah. We got scammed into a photo package with them.
  3. I have never flown before. I have always been scared of heights. Even as a child, when I would swing, I would get light-headed. Even the thought of flying has me nervous. Have you ever seen that episode of The Simpson's, when Marge is getting ready to fly and she says let me off the plane as it starts to taxi, then all of a sudden she jumps up and repeats let me off let me off let me off? Yeah, I feel like that times 10! My heart starts to race, I feel faint. I have tried figuring out where the fear came from, but I've never had any aviation related accidents either with myself or close relative. I really want to get over my fear. My fiancee will be flying first class (his choice not mine... he feels I will be more comfortable there) and I don't want to ruin our trip- let alone prevent the plane from taking off. I have hidden my fear from the kids so as not to make them anxious. I am at a loss. I am a therapist so I did the usual phobia related steps to address it, but I still feel terrified. Any advice?

  5. We are getting married October 10, 2016 at Beaches Negril.
  6. Thanks everyone! Beaches has been great by allowing us to use many of the things from the previous wedding so we get to use our colors purple, blue, silver with bling ( I so need my sparkles lol). The only thing left to do is airfare and the dress. Nathan prefers I shop now for a better price since 2016 prices may be higher but I think if I wait I can find a 2014 in 2016 at an even better price. That's the dilemma of the year for us lol.
  7. Hiya! I'm Missie and I'm new. While looking for airlines that allowed wedding dresses to hang, I came across this forum and joined. I am getting married October 10, 2016. I know it seems far: 26 months, 13 days, 22 hours, and 38 minutes away according to my countdown app, I thought it would be nice to still enjoy it and look forward to it. See, we WERE going to get married September 5, 2014- booked many vendors, bought the dress, and as we went along, it didn't feel right. I wasn't feeling like I thought I would. I wasn't excited, giddy or happy nervous. We both have little family and we didn't want to include fair-weather relatives who wern't going to show up anyway. Not to mention, the loss of 5 bridesmaids out of 6, the move to Colorado his parents made, it became a debacle. My Mom passed away 4 years ago, so my heart wasn't fully in the wedding anyway so we called it off. A few days after, he says let's do our original plan. You mean Jamaica, I say. Yes. Let's book it. I don't know I say. After some convincing, mainly him begging me, we have officially booked our Weddingmoon for Beaches. This time, I'm ACTUALLY excited! When we booked, I felt that happy excitement! Even though our ceremony will be intimate, (like VERY just us and the kids) it's in a beautiful place, with the man of my dreams surrounded by those I KNOW who love us. Getting married has never felt more perfect! We both realized that we didn't need what the shows and experts say a wedding should have. We have what works for us!
