Are you getting married in Cancun or playa? Playa has two gazebo's. One at The Real fits about 70 people and the Royal fits over a 100 at least. I would not Recommend The Real, at least not during summer months when there are kids EVERYWHERE.

I'm not sure if its like this for everyone, but I could bring in as many decorations as I wanted. Whatever you want really. In the end I ended up leaving a lot of decorations which I think they appreciate because they can use them for other weddings. When you arrive to check in with your WC, you bring all the decorations and explain where they go and preferably give a diagram. Then the morning after the wedding they will return all of your decorations nice and folded in your room. As long as you pay for the private and semi-private wedding you wont have any problem. they should stagger things so that the weddings are never in the same area at the same time. But I would just check in with your WC and ask how many weddings and locations right before the wedding. If you look at the photo or review sections there are photos. But I just got my photos back from Claudia Rodriguez. She did a beautiful job and I will post a few. I had the ceremony at the Gazebo which I would highly reco. Good luck!

Thank you so much! This is all so helpful. I am stressing, as we have 80 people coming and not much figured out. But we are doing a 2 hour welcome reception at pelecanos, ceremony at the Gazebo and reception on the beach. I love the Facebook idea. I debated doing the Catamaran and haven't booked it because I was worried it would be a lot of things planned for such a short time. How did you go about planning it and was it worth it? I cant wait to see your photos. Also, how many other weddings were on your wedding day? There are going to be two there's besides mine and it worries me. One more thing, did you use one of the packages, or do a-la-cart? We have 80 ppl and dont care about chocolate/massages so we are going a-la-cart, but I wonder it it saves money at all with larger groups. thanks again! Rachel

I visited The royal quickly a half year ago and think it is just more upscale and urban. Its seems smaller too, which I like because it mean less corporate. I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding about the ocean front part in your email, but I know you have to pay to be in front where you have a view of the ocean. I read somewhere here that there are rooms along the whole back side of the hotel that probably get views of the parking lot. I really hope its not that bad since most all of my guests got the least expensive rooms. But the hotel will blow you away, its beautiful, and the location is the best. The beach isn't necessarily the best, but its much nicer then if you head toward Cancun.

I am so sorry to hear your brother cant go, but knowing people that have been through the same thing (and are or even arrnt in recovery) it is definitly the right desision for him not to go where there is temptation everywhere. Maybe you can have your own celebration at home after the wedding and take pictures with him. Just an idea.

I have a July 21st date and I'm planning on ding the same thing as you. Do you happen to have any pointers on writing a ceremony, what did you do? Right now I have so many unanswered questions from my WC to so I understand...she's been almost unreachable for months. Did you have the same experience?
